Owners are trying to make as much £ as possible. They're not interested in promotion this season.

We will be and I'm delighted we have got 40 million for Rutter as we overpaid about 15 million for him in the first place. Others need to go as well.

Are you being sarcastic? You've got, I think, the 2nd thinnest squad in the league, and you want others out? Why?

no drift in the lay price following the draw with WBA which is a tad surprising . stillholding their price by and large

I cashed out of my 1500 back, too - so even more impressive

Piroe a 12 million pound disaster and Bamford is just a very poor footballer. Meslier has more holes in him than Swiss cheese and James is also very poor. I think we paid 25 million for him. If that lot as well as the players who have already been sold could not get promoted last season in what was one of the poorest championships depth wise I have seen for many a year why are they going to do it this season with the same players. A clearout is required and more would have already been shown the door before the season started if I had anything to do with it. Still Leeds management and transfer policy is all over the place and very similar to the debacle at the start of last season. The only player I am gutted to see go was Archie. BTW I was in the Parc de Princess when we played Bayern in the European Cup final in 1975 and have seen and supported many a Leeds United side.

To be fair, I don't think it's a bad result, but they won't win without spending

Well, yeah, that's what I'm saying. You need to bring in players. At the moment, the best players are leaving, but the average ones are staying, with nothing else coming through the door. Selling Rutter for 40m is great if you spend it.

When we finished 9th in the Prem first season back that is when we should have got rid of the Bamfords Coopers Aylings James etc as they are championship players who were never going to do it year in and year out and keep us up. The board thought they could stick with the same players and rake the money in for staying up and hoped we could replicate the performance again without spending anything of note. We got away with it by the skin of our teeth and it wasn't in our hands last game of the season. If that did not rubber stamp the warning I don't know what would, and then the inevitable happened.

Just one defeat this season and that was to the current second placed team, Burnley. We've yet to hit our stride this season yet we are still just three points off the top, anyone who took the early 4.7 about us winning the Championship can now easly trade out for a healthy profit, currently 2.5 on Betfair. Leeds Leeds Leeds.

Thats one way of looking at it Jinkxy another way is that they have only won 4 out of 8 games with 5 mathes against teams 10th or below.

not championship winning form by any stretch but as you say v early doors and maybe you will improve. 6/4 is way too short as i previously said

6/4 is not too short if you took the 4.7 on Betfair Cool

From a traditionally pessimistic leeds fan.

It feels like we have definitely turned a corner last 2 games.
Makeshift midfield looking more like the real deal championship wise.
Playing some nice football and having already tackled many of the top teams so far this season we may well be scoring for fun going forward.

last season we won a lot of games but generally it wasn't a great watch and not totally convincing.

This season feels different a fair few classy additions with existing players stepping up and growing in confidence.

I'm now, quite optimisticExcited

Same with Birmingham though, missed the chance to back them for the league at bigger odds
