I thought Madueke looked very sharp tonight, surprised that someone could have described his performance as that of a donkey, so much so that I thought I'd check a few ratings

Dazzled with the ball at his feet as he caused the Brentford defence all sorts of issues early on. But went off the boil either side of the break and was taken off just after the hour mark.


He was entitled to get tired I guess on his return and he did miss a decent enough chance, but he had a good game all things considered.

I also think that he had made a generally good start to his Arsenal career before he got injured.

Btw, Ekitike appeared to pull up with a hamstring tweak ?  Late on.  I would check his status if intending to play him this weekend.

Wee point.  Was playing my free hit and it dawned on me that a) as all picks are reversed next week and b) if you know the eleven you are going to actually play, you can gamble on not needing your substitutes and bring in the cheapest available to free up maximum transfer funds.  At least I have done so and think it works.  However if your chosen eleven don’t actually play,…….
Once again I’ve dumped Fernandes.  He’s the main sufferer of United’s poor team spirit, form, at present.  Have also dumped Calafiori, Timber and Chalobah as I think their sides will concede this weekend and brought in two toon lads at the back, hoping for a shutout at the “toon”.  I’m now way out of contention so am already thinking about personally considering the second period of the season, as an individual competition. Giving up a little it seems but not really,  trying to keep my motivation up.  Keeping Mateta as captain until he scores. A act of thrown stubbornness.  When he does score he usually bags a couple.  I’ll feel a bit better then!
