Have decided to be bold, wacko, controversial but enterprising this week.
Am toying with going captain triple score and am between Haaland, and, believe it or not, Richarlison for the gong. Both because they are at home against low performers this week. Haaland for obvious reasons and Richarlison because he just looks so fit, hungry and invested in bagging goals than he has for a while. He doesn’t get many braces let alone hat-tricks but you have to take chances to recover from a dreadful start in this game and I fancy to just take that chance. Arsenal might concede against The toon away but their next two matches are W. Ham h and Fulham a and they would be likely not to concede in those two, so, Timber and Calafiori stay in, at the risk of only getting a point apiece. Otherwise Sanchez’s has to be subbed as he’ll be suspended. This is tough. Clough had Taylor, Shanks had Paisley, SAF had dozens to bounce their ideas off. I’ve just got little old me and I’m not in the “top one”! ![]() Deadline 11.00 am Saturday. |

Haaland triple captain will be popular.
But,.. Burnley defended well against liverpool. Wolves are not playing very well so richarlison could be a good play, but not for me. Triple captain can wait for me, but good luck. Make sure you pick good vice captain too, just in case. |

Ty. Will do. Might change my mind though.

It was a tough week; I finished with 41, which was 1 less than the average. My decision to play my wildcard hasn't really worked yet, but it's still early, I guess.
I gave serious consideration to making Haaland a triple captain, but decided to wait for another week. In all the years that I've been playing FPL I haven't used my triple captain wisely, something always goes wrong!! |

Don’t beat yourself up. Even the players themselves can’t forecast when they are going to excel. We’ve just got to go with our hunches and GET LUCKY. Then bask in the self satisfaction.

Haaland triple captain will be popular but there may be better options:
Haaland wk 13 15 or 17 (Leeds, Sunderland, West Ham) Salah wk 14 (Sunderland) Burnley played well V Liverpool and could possibly deny the big Norwegian a huge haul this weekend. Who is playing Haaalnd triple captain this weekend? |
|
By:
Haaland did not train yesterday
Expected back for weekend. |

Haaland triple captain isn't for me against a low block with no space in behind, Pep has finally realized that City can't play possession based football against the bbetter sides as they get ripped apart on the counter so adopt a more defensive approach where they they can use the counter option themselves and that is Haalands game that we saw on Sunday with space to run in to but against the likes of Burnley they obviously can't do that and will be forced to operate with little space for Haaland.
Of course Haaland can still do the business but it will be from feeding off scraps in tight spaces and we have seen how organized Burnley can be. |
|
By:
Haaland makes his own space. Can’t imagine that he has scored all his many goals on the counter attack. A good few but nowhere near them all. The more I see of him the more I admire him. His first touch is just amazing for such a big man. Pep, imo, has completely lost his touch. Why bring on Stones and WEAKEN your defence - 87 minutes or not?!

I actually took my hat off to Pep against Arsenal because for a manager that we know who has strong beliefs in controlling the game with his possession he finally relented and played a game that I think for him would be nothing short of heresy but was definitely the right way to play, a more practical approach suited to the players he currently has.
The problem will come against the Brighton's (as we've already seen) and Bournemouth's, those middle teams that can kill you on the counter and who you can't treat as a top side and let have the ball in general play. If Pep could treat those sides as an Arsenal and be a pure counter attacking side they would be title contenders, they were very comfortable against Arsenal who didn't really lay a glove on them and should have won. |

I'm triple Haaland this week...

I’m still toying/cogitating.

You think Pep will risk Haaland against Burnley when they have CL game next week?
Bluddy hope so! Tis done now. ![]() Doubt he'll make it to the bench tomorrow... |
|
By:
You can cancel it emit, any time up to pre first match deadline.
|
|
By:
Ekitike on the bench, ffs.
|
|
By:
Nice of Richarlison and Ekiteke to haul after I wildcard them out
|
|
By:
Just brought in Isak. Ekitike suspended after the red card tonight, so Isak starts. Having trouble deciding my 11 so the bench boost is getting activated. Let's gooooo

By:
Eyeing up the Leeds game for the Haaland TC. Another champs league game 4 days before, though, but should still start

99% sure that's not possible after I've saved changes... I'm happy with that though. |

Surely patience is the key and triple captain when there is a double game week later on in the season
|
|
By:
You get 2 triple captains now.
One first half of season, one second half. Must be used first half, cannot be carried over. There are no double game weeks first half of season. Well none scheduled, Use it or lose it. |
|
By:
I see .. fair enough then.
|
|
By:
Your suggestion/advice still carries great sense
second half of season, getting a player playing twice, or occasionally 3 times in a game week can bring huge rewards on triple captain. |
|
By:
Yep. Very good strategy.
|
|
By:
You can cancel Triple Captain and Bench Boost anytime until the Deadline
|
|

... Oh yeah, funny just came here to let you guys know... ![]() |

I've had a bad lower back and you can just never tell when it's going away...

Have decided. Haaland, triple captain. He is in such a groove the chance, against modest opposition, with great support from his midfield, has to be taken. If it’s a bandwagon so be it. It is too good not to be on.
|
|
By:
FFS. I go to do it and “has a back injury - 75% of playing”.
Mission aborted. If I was Pep, with European aspirations, I’d rest him, so not taking the risk. |
|
By:
Palmer out for 2-3 weeks.
|

By:
Pep Guardiola on @ErlingHaaland's fitness: "He's ready."

Ty.

|
By:
Nice one, YHTL. Saw it in time to ditch Palmer!
|
|
By:
Haaland trebled up here. Three man forward line includes Pedro and Richarlison. Grealish kept in, Kudus brought in.
Hoping for 50-60 points min. G/L all. |

Me also.

I'm cruising in this game, top 4000, (genuinely), mixing in high society in the upper echelons on the flp leaderboard amongst the elite, the creme de la creme, the who's who of fantasy football
![]() Think the last time I was logged out I could see your mini league leaderboard, now I can't as the filth is blocked, but I could see that this Rosana chick was clear at the top by some 70pts? Are you all still being schooled by this mysterious dominatrix ? ![]() If she's still 70+ pts ahead of you all at the end of this game week, I will join the league and usurp her to spare your blushes, can't have a women ruling the roost over the brains of the football forum ffs, THE SHAME. ![]() Kind Regards. |
