There are also cup competitions which kick in later in season.
If you get close to a final then having triple captain and or bench boost becomes very useful. Getting points on board early is good though as it lets you not have to play too much catch up. |

Week 2 and my season has turned to sh!t
By:
Mine is about the same, Nobby.
I am briefly top of The Sun league though so I will take that. It took me about 30 seconds to pick that one, yet weeks of pissing about with the FPL team. |
By:
I didn’t realise you had Haaland. What’s all this ‘the other teams have sussed him out’ all about? Subterfuge?
By:
Nice one kenbo, just spotted you on top of the Dreamteam league..

By:
Cheers, mate. I see you managed to get Haaland in at the right time. A full strength Newcastle team for the cup would be nice for you!

20 points madueke, 17pts Palmer.. 10pts Jackson.
Big points for Chelsea |

10 points for Gordon on my bench...

Can't get them all right.
I'm on 59 points, 2 different decisions and I'm up to 82.... Sent to try us, and it's a long season |
By:
Is it possible to have Haaland, Salah & Palmer and still have the money for 12 crap players?
By:
Yes, Emit, plus Foden didn’t play so that’s a big swing for you. I never like having City players as you never know what Pep will do next.
By:
Yes, Nobby.
By:
Yes, you can easily do it. 15+12.5+10.5= 38
Leaves you 62 for 12 players so over 5 million a pop |
By:
Problem is, you get 12 x 5 million players and they won't score nowhere near enough points to compliment the other three
By:
That’s the beauty of the budget. Do you want four fantastic players with seven poor ones, or two fantastic players with nine good ones. We need these dilemmas to make it competitive.
By:
Looking at that wildcard chip, looks like one to do early on if you've had a poor start and basically feel you need to start again whilst the good looking players haven't been priced out of the game, plus if you wait too long you'll likely be too far adrift and disinterested anyway.

Raya 5.5
Ramsdale 4.5...... 10 Porro 5.5 Mazraoui 4.5 Robinson 4.5 Fofana 4.5 Guehi 4.5........23.5 Salah 12.5 Palmer 10.5 Madueke 6.4 Lavia 4.5 Hudson odoi 5.5....39.4 Haaland 15 Wellbad 5.6 Jebbison 4.5.....26.1 Just about does it, sure you could improve a bit. |
By:
I totally agree, Duffy. There’s no shame in using it early. It disappears at Xmas and you get another in the new year too.
By:
Switching to players doing well will mean you
can't catch the people who already have them! It might see you move ahead of others, but.. |
By:
Anyone wanting to get Haaland in their side would probably need to change five or six players to free up the budget to do it. The wildcard there saves you 20 points or so. That’s probably gone be more points saved than the extra 17 points all the Haaland triple captains got this week.
By:
Not for me that approach, I agree Haaland and Salah but not 3 heavy hitters, al those 6.5 to 8 million players score too many points to miss out on for me....good to have differing views though and good fun.
Funny isn't it, a betting forum and I have real money on the go and I'm more bothered about whether one of my players scores a goal or not ![]() ![]() |
By:
You’re getting a two for one deal there, Duffy. Your bet might go down but there may be a little consolation prize of your man scoring.
By:
115 points for week then, Lifter. Not too shabby at all! Joint top too with 176 after two games.
By:
100 is always a great score.
Well played. |

Anyone else used wildcard?
By:
What's a wildcard?
By:
The Wildcard chip can be used twice a season. The first wildcard will be available from the start of the season until Sun 29 Dec 13:30. The second wildcard will be available after Sun 29 Dec 13:30 in readiness for the January transfer window opening and remain available until the end of the season. The Wildcard chip is played when confirming transfers and can't be cancelled once played.
Allows you to make as many transfers as you wish in a game week without costing points. They are permanent, until you change them. The Free Hit chip can be used once a season, is played when confirming your transfers and can't be cancelled after confirmed. Free hit allows unlimited transfers too, but your team reverts back after one week. |

I've captained Havertz this week, stuck muniz
on bench... Bet accordingly ![]() Good luck all. |

What a clown for not putting Haaland in! The wildcard is gonna have to be used before the next games start!
By:
What a clown I am for not captaining him! In the form of his life.

By:
Nice play with Havertz captain. Him and Saka going to have a big season it looks like. i've been waiting for fixtures to turn, oops
By:
Palmer is never a bad shout for the captain. As said before, I’d rather captain a midfielder than a forward.

Another hat trick, haaland...

What a clown I am for not captaining him! In the form of his life. Snap, brought in Watkins ad captained him....trying to be too clever for my own good, should have learned by now that whenever I have attempted to be too clever I always come a cropper. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What a clown for not putting Haaland in! The wildcard is gonna have to be used before the next games start! But if you did you probably wouldn't have had the 48 points you got from Salah in weeks 1 and 2 and whatever he gets tomorrow and with 6 players still to play!!! |
