It's a funny forum, in that some posts don't show, sometimes, until

in other words you laid Leipzig, which paid off for you but could have gone the other way. A few 'unlucky' ones like that in a row and you p&l is a very different story. It is good to see someone making a profit from it but it's been a long time since we've seen a profitable thread on here, with people posting their picks up front.
as freddie pointed out, between august and january it wasn't so rosy, so you may be just a bit of a lucky run, or maybe you are good at finding value in the 2nd half of the season.. |

I thought it was too easy a was betting on everything. Changed to less bets but bigger value.
Another issue was when I lost a bet I felt the need to win the losses back asap. Everyday is a school day lads |

I went full time in Feb 2008 to Feb 2009. Failed, went back to work, then went full time BF again in Jan 2010.
Not had a day off in all that time. Win some, lose some, have a small edge which means I defeat comm' long term, make a living, never had a losing year although can go level or slightly down for months. Started paying the dreaded super PC at 40% in 2015. I don't make money anywhere near as easy as the first few years now. We need more punters. The Exchange is way too difficult to use for most punters who still use bookies and therefore have very little if any chance of winning long term. Years ago I thought exchange gambling would take off and become like the Facebook revolution of gambling, but not to be. Punters are too lazy to use it, they just want to take a price from a bookie no matter how poor the value. A great shame, but I can't see it changing. |

I was told that Pinnacle were most accurately priced for footy because of the sheer volume and span of their business. Would be interesting to hear others views on this, albeit you cannot bet with them from UK. I use their prices as a guide and then take a view as to how I think the BF market will move.

The most important points are
What is your job and if you leave it, can you return to a similar position? Do you have six months living expenses set aside on top of your bankroll (which should be at the very minimum 50 bets)? |
