Also if theyd have finished top of that group theyd have had what could have been a Southgate route? Ghana was 2nd round, then it would have been the biter Suarez in the last 8, Netherlands would have been the semi final
Instead they fooked it against Algeria and got the Germany/Argentina/Spain route Germany did their best but got stopped in the semifinals by Spain |

USA were very good first half, but gassed badly in the second. I expect england to win fairly comfortably. Maybe with more goals in the 2nd half.

Suggestion of how poor the US are if they could only draw with those Welsh mugs, and well England did in the first match, considering the Saudi's are equal to Iran. Should be straightforward, England -1 AH.

USA had some decent sides in 2010 and 2014 (gave Portugal a great game in Brazil) ...been a bit of a downturn in their quality in the last few years missing the last WC with Panama qualifying ahead of them and now getting here behind both Canada and Mexico...still have plenty of energy, commitment and spirit but quality lacking..

Absolute duck soup for England. Understand this has nothing to do with how great England are, it's more do do with the pure fragility of this yank side. They have enough pace/energy to at least threaten a far from watertight English defence, but I'll be astonished if England don't win this match. And surprised if they don't end up winning by at least 2..

England should win easily. Maybe more goals 2nd half? as England sometimes start slow, and USA ran out of steam 2nd half against Wales. Something like 1-1 HT 4-1 FT wouldn't surprise me.
