best technical side for me by a distance but potentially lacking in other areas ...
By:
both teams very reminiscent of their Mens traditional equivalent in style..Germany more direct and more physical - Spain largely trying to pass you to death..
By:
There's plenty of skill on show. I'd far rather be watching this than cookery programmes or an infantile Flintoff showing off.

2-0

england v spain in qf looks on now. Top 2 in tourny outright betting at start.
By:
Bye Spain
By:
feels harsh on Spain but one brutal giveaway and a set piece is all it takes...Germany quite happy with their 34% possession.
By:
Spain not much of a threat it seems. Just passing for the sake of it. England, Germany, etc.. much more direct and agressive.
By:
wouldn't fancy playing Spain from a 0-1 position
By:
Spain have played quite well, Just lack of concentration by the keeper and whoever was supposed to be marking the German player for the second goal.
By:
it's the usual giving away of the ball yet again - terrible ball retention
and that irritating young english 'expert' excitable voice argh their dress sense is dreadful especially in this weather - trousers!!! so far I haven't seen a single outfit I would wear - what is wrong with them - are they trying to make a point?? |
By:
AND germany still 1.2 to win at 2 0 so the market expects spain to come back?? and now this 'BRUM' advert - what are they trying to tell us?
By:

By:
The BBC have the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham ,thats the reason for the BRUM advert .
By:
it's the accent man don't ya know
By:
how is that not a corner?
By:
I can't see Spain breaking Germany down 2 or 3 times. They might get one, but Germany just have to keep their shape and not do anything rash.
By:
Spain don't have many ideas. Just keep it tight and get them on the break. Really can't see them winning the tourn, although competition is weak
By:
that's a red, imo.
By:
Red
By:
fake injury, waste time, that's what they need to do.
By:
A game of mistakes. Constant errors - poor ball control
By:
Sweden have Switz tomorrow. Currently 9s in the outright. Good chance they put 5 past Switz and trade in the 6s. I'm on.
By:
male commentator ' 16000 crowd, the big crowds never stop coming' WOT???
Anyway, he is finished. he said it he said it - the german girls are looking leggy!!! and then said one spanish player was feisty!! There is no room for this sort of rampant sexism on here or on the bbc - he will be gone tomorrow - you read it here first!! |
By:
Not a huge beleiver in Xg and didn't catch the exact numbers but Spain have a higher figure according to bbc comm...
good result for Germany and a very professional job but not sure I'd be writing Spain off at all |
By:
Greening up my Germany back (7s) at mid 4s
By:
Come on, Moisi. You enjoyed it! Just admit it.

Spain will still go through. And, with the skill and touch they possess, you can't rule them out. They were lucky not to have a player sent off, though. The Refs seem to be very reluctant to hand out Cards.
By:
So England out next round?
![]() |
By:
An over 3.5 goals treble, in
Sweden v Switz Holland v Portugal France v Belgium pays 20/1 Has a good chance, I reckon. |
By:
no des - it simply should not be allowed - sexist innuendo from the MALE commentator - I am shocked
By:
sweden just walked out - ALL BLONDES wow!!
By:
Anyone backing England Women? We are 3/1 jf with France. I think Spain at 6/1 (playing England next) is value assuming Spain win.

first match ive watched..absolutely dire quality

Top goalkeeping
By:
You've got to be a total degenerate gambler to feel the need to bet (and watch) this dirge

Over to the Dutch...could put themselves in pole to avoid the French with some goals this evening..
