French were coming into the game a little then Germany scored. But Germany still the better and much harder-working team. The full-back was more at fault for the goal, ball-watching and let Popp nip in when she should have attacked the ball. Kyle Walker-esque.

Skill wise there is not much between the 4 semi-finalists but when it comes to creating chances and taking them, England are still clear best.

Germany look stronger, France have plenty of skill and pace, but not ruthless enough in front of goal.

let's have a 1-1

how do these officials miss so many corners?

I think that Germany will beat England. They created their goals, rather than having them handed to them by goalkeeping errrors and poor defending like England.

I Love this football, watched every game and got 14 Winners from 14 bets, But ruined by Fara Gob**** who needs to lay off the Energy drinks, born about 30 miles from me and i need a translator for her sometimes, just Overpowering.

the English pundits are mostly awful, including Wrighty. The French pundit and the Dutch girl from earlier rounds were very good.

England 1.84 v 2.16 Germany to win it. I wouldn't have England favs. I think they will struggle to play against Germany like they did against Spain and the Germans are more solid at the back and more dangerous up front. It is also a more daunting prospect playing the German women than the German men for England. They have never lost a euro final and have won 8 of the previous 10 euros.

By:
I agree. I don't think Germany would've conceded any of the goals England scored against Sweden or Spain. England don't have a defender as good as Oberdorff or a striker as ruthless as Popp.
|
|
By:
Germans were full of divers and cheats tonight, good to see, it's the way to win games at the top level, hope England saw what cheats they were and do it better.
|
|
By:
England's 1st goal against Sweden was a good strike.
|
|
By:
it was a good strike but I don't think she would've been given that amount of time and space against a better defence.
|
|
By:
Apart from Spain England have been the best team in the
competition. |
|
By:
I was a bit surprised England are favourites. Obviously, they won the semi-final 4-0, but they started badly and could easily have gone behind. They also benefitted from some very charitable goalkeeping. Germany's two goals tonight were different gravy. At the odds I think you have to back Germany.
|
|
By:
So what have the Germans done to warrant being favourites then.
Spain gifted 'em a goal and were the better team over 90mins when they played. |
|
By:
I'm not trying to persuade you, mate. You think England will win, that's fair enough. I've got a big green on England on the outright from the bet I made (and predicted on here) before they beat Sweden. But I'll be laying most of it off, as I think that Germany will lift the Trophy.

Germany not won a major tournament for 9 years (6 if you want to count the Olympics) so not sure that has much bearing on this group of players as a whole...and the pace of change in the womens game is much higher than the mens currently.
Austria hit the woodwork 3 times against Germany in the quarters and had them wobbling in the first 20 mins of that game generally, so as ever one can pick and choose a bit to make the case... Germany have certainly proved very difficult to create clear chances against (ironically Austria did as much, probably more than any against them) both Spain and France struggled to.. England have more ability to play at tempo than Spain especially in transition, they also have a better aerial threat and are far more clinical than France in the final third who had showed against Iceland, Belgium and the Netherlands that the end product wasn't always great...whilst England have now scored 20 goals in 5 games and frankly have shown that they have some of the best attacking options in the tournament (Meade, Stanaway Russo- who should probably be starting, Hemp, Toone, Kirby) England have done enough to merit being just fav for me but it will likely be an exceptionally tight and often nervy game...and the home crowd aspect could easily become a burden if they don't start well so agree with that observation and the German's are not likely to feel intimidated by it either. |

England have performed better at the 2019 WC 2017 Euros and 2015 WC. Doubt there are many players in this squad going back to 2013 so it's the English who have more "big game" experience.

8 of the last 10 means nothing, those players are not playing today, based on what I've seen it's very 50/50
home advantage is clearly an advantage only have to look at the men's game, only reason we reached 66 and 21 finals. attendances in finals 84 - 5662 87 - 8408 89 - 22000 91 - 6000 93 - 7000 95 - 8500 97 - 2221 01 - 18000 05 - 21105 09 - 15877 13 - 41301 17 - 28182 22 - WEMBLEY SOLD OUT |

. I don't give a toss what colour armband the captains wear, in fact I never even noticed. But then I suspect you arn’t the target audience, that is children. It amazes me how there can be all this uproar about when and where advertising is allowed, yet gender is blatantly pushed onto children at every opportunity….at the very time Tavistock has been ordered to close and the Cass Review states they don’t know what puberty blockers do to children’s minds. |

I didn't suggest home advantage wasn't an advantage in earlier rounds/group. I was only talking about the final and that it may not prove to be an advantage on the day with the weight of pressure and expectation that comes with it. It is not a given is all I said. The Germans will be more than happy to be underdogs with all the pressure on England. Germany press high too and England struggled to play out against Spain who also played like that in the first half.
It wasn't the only reason you reached the final in 21 either. Avoiding the half of the draw with Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Croatia was more of a factor. England have more recent 'big game' experience but have the experience of losing them all. This is the biggest yet and uncharted territory for them against a country who are 8 from 8 in euro finals. You also have to factor in the patriotic money on here which always favours England and skews the odds somewhat but which doesn't reflect reality. The odds should be very close to evens. They will prob move the other way before KO. |

England have started with the same XI in all 5 games. Do you think she will start Ellen White on Sunday? I wouldn't be surprised either way but that could be something that moves the prices too.
England definitely have the more experienced manager but it's a 50/50 for me. |

Patriotic money doesn't move the market. The only thing that moves the market is Asia
