SANERE GWENRE. WHO IS IT.PERFECT IF YOU COULD GET HIM.

By:
New Red Hot odds-on favourite, Vitor Pereira, recently sacked in Turkey.
Described as a "journeyman". Is that the best the Blues can do? |
By:
I think Mickey Mellon would be a better choice.

honours:
2 x portuguese league 1 x saudi cup 1 x greek league 1 x chinese league |
By:
not bad for a 53 year old
By:
won the greek cup too
did the double during his one season there |
By:
That is better than I imagined.
Thank you, G. |

By:
has managed Porto, Olympiacos, Fenerbahce (twice), 1860 Munich (didn't do well there), Shanghai SIPG, Al Ahli
By:
thats a pedigree-in a tin
By:
Everton approached him in December 2019 (after Marco Silva was sacked) but he decided to stay in China
By:
he's been sacked twice by Fenerbahce but I wouldn't read too much into that (the fact they rehired him shows how highly he was regarded)
from what I can gather Fenerbahce fans like him 1860 Munich (half a season, relegated in the playoffs) the only real failure on his CV |

Moyes leaves and...
Martinez. He'd just got Wigan relegated and the fans were delighted to welcome a possession based manager who got the players moving the ball beautifully.. from goalie to full back to centre back to full back to goalie. All match long, turgid football. Sacked Koeman.. Fabulous new age manager who had Southampton purring. Fans were delighted and he was probably the worst manager any football team ever had. Everton shipped goals by the dozen. Spent 500 mil. Sacked Silva.. see Koeman. Sacked Allardyce.. Fireman Sam. Fans hated him but he repaired the damage done and got them up to 10th and stopped them getting beat every week. Sacked Ancelotti.. Everyone loved him. Best manager in the world. Just watch Everton go. He got them to 10th and had the worst home record ever. Not bad away form. Woke up and walked away. Benitez... 19 played, 19 pts. Lost the fans, lost the players, lost his job. Sacked Who's next?? Everton don't need a manager, they need therapy. Failing that, get Allardyce back. At least they won't be relegated cos right now... they are bang on relegation fodder. |
By:
all joing aside, Allardyce was the most suucessful of that lot, probbaly ahd less money to spoend too
By:
Surprised Nuno hasn't been touted more. Available at 46
By:
Lampard close to being favourite now
would make no sense to me a world of managers to choose from and he's the best option? |
By:
Allardyce was not great at Everton.
They had a crazy fixture list to start the season, something like 5 of their first 8 games v 'Big 6'. Sam just got more points from softer fixtures. No reason to suppose Koeman would have done any worse. |

Well observed tobermory. Stats, rarely tell the whole story.
By:
more money for the poruguese fella
odds on again now |
By:
looks like rooney may not even get an interview
By:
I wonder how involved Jirabchian is in the process ? I'd have a punt on Everton going down if Pereira does get it. Seems strange to have someone with no PL experience expecting him to turn round a sinking ship
By:
Sams detractors always find a way.
By:
crazy market
Pereira went odds on again overnight (second time he has been odds on), now back to about 3.50 Lampard has gone odds on today |
By:
tony
Pereira is a Joorabchian suugestion apparently |
By:
amazed at the love Lampard is getting from Everton fans on social media
one decent season at Derby (beaten in playoff final) one average season at Chelsea (4th), and sacked midway through the second (think they were 9th at the time) |
By:
Pereira gave an interview to sky sports today apparently
anyone see it? |
By:
amazed at the love Lampard is getting from Everton fans on social media
He told Jurgen Klopp to f**k off once. That's good enough for Evertonians. |
By:
See the Everton fans are now calling for a manager to be kicked out even before he's actually signed
![]() |
By:
didn't Lampard also say something like "you've only won one league title"?
By:
Pereira is still favourite, just
By:
Lampard repeatedly swore at Klopp and his backroom staff, at one point telling the German to 'f*** off' and 'sit down'. And the Chelsea legend was still fuming after the final whistle, branding Liverpool 'arrogant' in his post-match press conference.10 Jan 2021
Don't know about the 'only won one title' bit, but Klopp himself has actually won 3 league titles. All three of them won whilst competing in leagues that have financially stronger clubs - Bayern, City, Chelsea, United Pity he forgot to mention too that Klopp has only won one Champions League. |
By:
yeah i saw the clip of lampard telling klopp to **** off, i think he says you only won one league title during the same exchange, taht was my point really, lampard came across a bit clueless
By:
everton fans really unhappy right now
i think Pereira is the owner's first choice will he change his mind and go with Frankie due to fan protests? |
By:
Fat Frankie fav again
By:
In all seriousness though, what half-decent manager would Everton be able to attract based on their current situation ? They're not going to be able to employ someone who's currently doing a good job at another club because the season is only two thirds of the way through & no football club is going to let a good manager jump ship at this stage. The stakes are very high here. Get it wrong & the Championship looms for Everton. It's going to be a massive gamble whoever they take on.
By:
nearly every manager in the world wants to work in the premier league
not many who would turn it down in my opinion and it's not like they six points adrift in last place, they are unlikely to get relegated |
By:
Newcastle isn't in a great location for attracting foreigners but i think the northwest is fine
By:
Everton's problem is they seem to be clueless when it comes to recruitment, both in terms of players and managers
a well run club would already know about several up and coming bright coaches on the continent instead Everton are choosing between Joorabchian's mate and Frank ****g Lampard |
By:
they are lots of outstanding young coaches in Spain and Italy for example
By:
and Portugal
By:
Pereira's interview getting a lot of negative attention
did Moshiri ask him to do it though? would be bizarre if he didn't if he did, does that suggest he already has the job? |
