I think England will have to up it to win tbh. Spain were able to control the midfield vs Italy, but in this game I imagine it will be the complete opposite and Italy will control the midfield.

I still think England would rather play Italy than have played Spain who would have totally dominated the game against us tbh, but I still edge towards Italy Sunday.

As an England fan I would have taken Spain all day long. They had a decent match against Italy but the no strikers trick wouldn't have worked twice, not against this team and manager. Morata made the difference but likely would have been back to being rubbish on Sunday.
And the days of us being ''totally dominated'' are done. If anything, we'd have had Busquets and co chasing the ball for ninety minutes. |

If Southgate knows what he is doing, which we have to assume he does, then he should have seen that Saka was out of his depth against Denmark and surely will not start him, although I can't agree Rashford lfc; he's not in any form at all. That would not be a surprise, it would be a Godsend for the Italians.

Out of his depth? He got an assist, kept one of the tournaments best full-backs quiet and at one point dribbled past half the Danish team
 Anyway, if Spinazzola was playing, I'd definitely want Saka in. Not a fan of Rashford really, Sancho was poor against Ukraine and Grealish not defensive enough. Perhaps Mount up top and bring Henderson in. In Gareth we trust anyway |

We must have been watching different games JC. Yes, he neatly broke the offside trap and put in a good cross which led to an own goal (does he get an assist for that?). He was useless outside of that and kept nobody quiet, other than the rest of the population who were dumbstruck. He was fkn useless in that game, but if you saw it differently then fair enough; who am I to argue. The 'live' thread showed countless people calling for him to be removed and eventually Southgate removed him; why would he remove a player if he was that good is beyond me
