Might not have out that quite right. As in Spurs will be looking a little down from the top managers. Not top managers looking down to go to spurs.

I've been hoping for Bielsa from day one HGS, but his recent statement has all but ruled that out. I had Rodgers as my second choice, but can't see that happening either, but the CL exit could sway him with the right package.
I never really had a third choice, but if the Potter rumours were true, I'd support that, but I don't believe it will be him either. I'd support Rangnick too, whose team should be good to watch if nothing else. If you read the Spurs files, supporters are now turning back to exciting, watchable football, with or without trophies. We're not a good side at present and the loss of both Kane and Bale (inevitable imo) won't help, but it will give the manager some funding, albeit closely watched by Levy. |

At the time of typing I cannot believe the Poch is now favourite on the exchange

Martinez still at 8's, but the papers are all over it. Not until after the Euro's though. At 8's I would imagine that he is one of a few candidates being interviewed.
By:
Yeah, probably interviewing the shortlist. What typically happens then is a guy says he won't do an interview 'take it or leave it' and gets appointed anyway. So someone could still get it out of the blue IMO
By:
Indeed they could... remember Santini? Nobody saw that coming.
By:
Betfair been messing up the market order. Last night all the top contenders were at the top, this morning the first 60 on the list were 1000! They've mostly fixed it now but you have to scroll about 70 names to get to Poch.
By:
you can press/hold ctrl and F and type in poch in the search box to get there quicker
By:
They put Poch on top now

A worthy tip Scandy, thank you

I would post a thumbs up emoji but they don't work on here

It appears to me with the betting wide open that Spurs already had the right manager. No matter who they get he wont have the same CV as Jose'.
Huge mistake letting him go imo and no coincidence Harry wants to move on. A top eight team at best and huge rebuild needed. Jose should have been given more time as time will tell imho. |

Mauricio Pochettino... Why sack him? we have the same squad of players he couldnt motivate?? makes no sense.
Roberto Martinez... Interview the guy out of politeness... Nuno Espirito Santo If it was going to happen it would have happened by now... Erik ten Hag.. why sign an extension to his current contract? Levy aint that stupid.. Graham Potter.. All my monies are riding on this guy.. I fear / know it's lost. ![]() |
By:
I'd give it to Potter, pay him peanuts and sack him after a year if it doesn't work out
By:
Levy is a great businessman but the sporting project aint been a roaring success. Maybe its time for a change like a David Dein figure who a has a consistent vision or copying the Sevilla model
By:
What I can't work out is the constant Ten Hag links. He led Ajax to a few more titles, which is the minimum requirement I would have thought, but let's not forget that McClaren led Twente to their ONLY title, but no Premiership club was ever linked with him. Granted, the CL loss to Spurs could have worked out differently, but why would anyone think he can walk into a Premiership team? Could Potter walk into Ajax and win the league... it is not without a chance. No Levy ain't that stupid (well, he probably is actually), but Ten Hag signed an extension because he is not and never has been linked to Spurs imo

Why sack Poch? Because Spurs were in lower mid-table form or relegation form (with no away win for ten months) for almost a year before he was fired. The freak run to the CL final just papered over the cracks.

Never heard Galtier mentioned for it
you'd think he had a job lined up though to quit Lille |
By:
Though perhaps he doesn't get on with the owners and figures he can sit back and wait for offers

Had £5 at 28.

Not a bad bet 1830. Strange resignation though. If he wasn't being considered he probably is now.

Galtier is going to Nice

Jose had already succeeded in alienating a bunch of his first team players, threw his team under the bus multiple times and his brand of football was disgusting. When Jose's toxic side comes out it never ends well for either party. He's just lucky there were no fans in the stadium for the vast majority of the season. Strange how he's had huge success elsewhere. If his firt team players have been alienated then they shouldn't be at Spurs. |
