What on earth is Michael Owen talking about post-match saying the German league is on a real low point atm, same with Spain, and it seems to be the Italian league rising closest to the English league.
Would this be the Italian league where it's supposed best team went out to 10 man Porto last night and it's runaway leaders couldn't get out of the group? Was also saying he didn't think Bayern were the best in Europe last season, don't know what he's watching, and yer Leipzig were sh*te over 2 legs here, but are we meant to be goldfish and forget they made the semi's last season and qualified out of what was meant to be the group of death ahead of the side 2nd in the Prem.

If David Moyes was Barca manager I reckon they would have qualified. He has the happy knack of turning widemen into deadly strikers. Only watched 1st half and Dembele had a shocker. Koeman does not have Moyes's ...err alchemistic qualities. If Moyes can do it with Antonio and Arnie pretty sure he could do it with potentially world class Ousmane Dembele

Be careful putting that idea out there. Barcelona might poach him from West Ham in the summer.

Stranger things have happened. Apparently Barca are interested in Arteta. Moyes is a far better manager
| ||||||||||||||||
|
By:
Arteta's only credentials are that he sat beside Pep for a few years. I agree that Moyes is a far more proven manager but there's zero chance that Barca will poach him.

"Would this be the Italian league where it's supposed best team went out to 10 man Porto last night"

milan would have beaten man utd last week if zlatan had been fit
| ||||||||||||||||
|
By:
should have beaten them anyway: ridiculous handball call disallowed goal

Serie A will always be a top league, a few years in the doldrums is good in my opinion, freshens things up
Hopefully Spain will be having there doldrums now

AC Milan/Inter/Juventus/Lazio/Roma will always be well known around the world, historically they are always there in any conversation

Sampdoria and Fiorentina always had their shirts hung up in Turkish bars as well, back in the early 2000s when I went

Fairly shít round of ties

One-offs like last year would have been better

This round wasn't one offs last year either.

Good to see AM gone, at least Chelski might have a go
Couldn't give two flying fooks who wins the Spanish league, all of them are boring

The QF draw screwed up my outright bets
![]() All I wanted was for my 2 best greens (Bayern & PSG) to be kept apart, and for my biggest red (Chelsea) to play someone other than Porto. Had to downsize my greens now and make sure to limit reds.
| ||||||||||||||||
|
By:
your greens look good tobs only threat to one of them winning is city and we know what their record is.
barring strange results your book looks good
|
By:
prob a bayern v liverpool final
| ||||||||||||||||
|
By:
Hopefully Dragon,
my greens were much bigger before the draw (and my City red was much bigger too). I would have been fine with any of them playing City, but the draw left it likely I would have had 2 teams £600 red in the semis and perhaps only one green.
|
By:
indeed tobs the draw is something hard to factor into your betting analysis. i still think you have the best team - bayern on your side. i backed them antepost before the tournament so apart from liverpool im hoping they win
| ||||||||||||||||
|
By:
Chelsea going under the radar. everyone was looking at Munchen, PSG and Man City. Lewandowski got injured and thus PSG just about got the job done. Man City or PSG, not sure which will go through. I think Chelsea will beat Real Madrid. I think the most likely final is PSG v Chelsea.
what do others think? | ||||||||||||||||
|
By:
PSG v Real for me. Both close ties but I think playing away second leg will suit them both.

After the disastrous QF draw and my preferred team losing virtually every H2H all through this I am left with these figures when settled bets factored in
Still, a £250 loss is a big improvement on -£700 last season |
