Did anyone notice that penalty shout at 0-0 when no West Ham player appealed? The commentator picked up on it straightaway.
Spurs were sold out after an hour and on any other day we would have beaten them. |

If Pellegrini goes sorry when he goes we have been linked with 4 names.
Benitez - that would be Pellegrini mark II no? Chris Houghton - the football he played at Brighton was so horrendous and negative they kicked him out Howe - I would be amazed if he came to us. Not that I think he's a great manager but I'm sure he's got other options Dyche - I always thought he deserved a chance at a bigger club. He would be a cultural shock for our lazy prima donnas Of the names mentioned it would be dyche for me. |

Benitez certainly wouldn't be Pellegrini mark 11. One knows how to organise a defence and the other hasn't a clue.

That maybe so sparrow but I'm wary of managers that go to China. Are they still motivated? Are they up for the fight?
I want us to go back to basics. A young British manager who is hungry, enthusiastic and energetic. |

West Ham have started to identify potential replacements for Manuel Pellegrini, who is fighting to save his job after his struggling side’s 3-2 defeat by Tottenham on Saturday, and could alleviate their goalkeeping crisis by signing Jordan Archer on a free transfer in January.
Pellegrini is under pressure after seven games without a win and there is alarm at board level about a decline that has left West Ham three points above the bottom three. While there is a desire to give the 66-year-old time, the hierarchy’s faith in a manager who has 18 months remaining on a contract worth £7m a year is being severely tested at the momen West Ham fear they are being dragged into a relegation battle and they are prepared to act if there is no sign of Pellegrini improving the situation. The manager was warned on Sunday that results must improve. Tentative overtures have been made to Rafael Benítez, who joined the Chinese side Dalian Yifang last summer, but Chris Hughton is emerging as a more realistic candidate. Hughton, who has been out of work since being fired by Brighton at the end of last season, would be interested in taking over if the job becomes available. West Ham, who were torn apart by Tottenham at the London Stadium, have long admired Benítez. They were close to appointing the Spaniard before he joined Real Madrid in 2015 and attempted to lure him away from Newcastle before hiring Pellegrini last year. Benítez has maintained a good relationship with David Sullivan, West Ham’s co-owner. Financial imperatives will complicate any move for the former Liverpool manager, though. Pellegrini will receive hefty compensation if he is dismissed midway through a deal that runs out at the end of next season and West Ham would have to pay a considerable sum to recruit Benítez, who is earning a reported £12m a year in China. That is likely to make West Ham look elsewhere and it is understood that Hughton, who kept Brighton in the Premier League after taking them up in 2017, has admirers at the London Stadium. Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe is also under consideration and it is understood that Burnley’s Sean Dyche would be interested in speaking to the east London club. West Ham’s goalkeeping situation could also make them hold off replacing Pellegrini. Lukasz Fabianski has been sorely missed since suffering a hip injury in September and the former Swansea goalkeeper’s absence has been exacerbated by calamitous performances from his deputy, Roberto, who had another poor game against Tottenham. There is a feeling that a new manager would struggle to make an instant impact if he has to use Roberto. With no date given for Fabianski’s return, West Ham will try to sign a goalkeeper in January. They are looking at Archer, who has been without a club since leaving Millwall at the end of last season. The 26-year-old Scot started his career at Tottenham. The question for now is whether Pellegrini picks Roberto over David Martin when West Ham visit Chelsea on Saturday. Roberto’s erratic displays have damaged the team’s confidence and the decision to sign the Spaniard on a free last summer has raised doubts over the judgment of Pellegrini and Mario Husillos, West Ham’s director of football. |

Grady Diangana........Another brilliant decision!
On loan from West Ham the winger with an eye for a pass and the arts has sparkled in the Midlands and says he feels at home. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/28/grady-diangana-football |

Yeah you're right he's by no means a superstar but he is our most talented player(well I think so anyway)by far. But he's stopped taking on opponents, stopped using his speed, stopped shooting and doesn't score any more. He treats the ball like a hot potato and doesn't want to hang on to it. A guy like Mikey Antonio is not nearly as talented but puts himself about and is loved by the West Ham faithful.

Sparrow lol. At the time I didn't notice them. It's only when I watched motd that I saw them. Either way great team spirit. As for Martin part of me hopes he never plays for West Ham again as I don't want his legacy to be tarnished if that makes sense.

You can rest assured that Alvin won't be playing again, ffaith.

Very good sparrow. There's this rumour that Frederick and ogbonna were dropped for zaba and balbuena because Roberto can't speak English and they needed Spanish speaking players in the team to communicate with him.
It's going to be very difficult for Pellegrini to leave now |

One good result against a tired team will not be enough but we will see where we are at the end of January. A lot of money spent for very little return on Haller,Anderson and Fornals.
|
|
By:
I think he should go as well. It's just too inconsistent. The signing of Roberto alone is a sackable offence IMO.
Oh yeah on Saturday I had a 12/1 ACCA only one team let me down... Chelsea. That will teach me not to bet against my own team. |
|
By:
I very rarely bet when West Ham are playing which is just as well when you see our results. Apparently the story was that Roberto was to be their first choice of keeper which qualifies those responsible for certification.

West Ham aim to sell Roberto in January and sign new goalkeeper
West Ham will try to sell Roberto in January and look increasingly likely to part ways with Mario Husillos, the Argentinian director of football responsible for bringing the goalkeeper to the club last summer. Roberto has lost his place to David Martin after a string of poor performances and West Ham are keen to replace the 33-year-old Spaniard, who was supposed to provide back-up for Lukasz Fabianski after replacing Adrián on a free transfer. The former Espanyol player made a series of errors after Fabianski suffered a long-term hip injury in September and he has become a divisive issue within the club. West Ham are unhappy with Husillos for recommending Roberto. The signing was sanctioned by Manuel Pellegrini, who is under renewed pressure after a limp away defeat by Wolves on Wednesday, and it has left Husillos in a difficult position. Husillos and Pellegrini wanted to make Roberto their No 1 goalkeeper before Fabianski was signed from Swansea in 2018. It soon became clear Roberto was not good enough when he came in for Fabianski, who has an outside chance of returning for the trip to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day. West Ham slid towards the bottom three after picking up one point in the six league games Roberto started, leaving Pellegrini’s future in doubt. West Ham’s players did not trust Roberto and they were more solid at the back when the manager bowed to pressure and replaced him with Martin for Saturday’s unexpected win at Chelsea. Martin kept his place for the 2-0 defeat by Wolves and it is doubtful Roberto will play for the club again. West Ham, who have cooled their interest in the free agent Jordan Archer, want to sign a new No 2 goalkeeper in January. However they are aware it may be difficult to fetch a fee for Roberto, who has 18 months left on a contract worth £30,000 a week. West Ham will consider loaning him if they do not have to pay his wages and it is thought Turkey is a possible destination. he Roberto situation has raised doubts about Husillos’s eye for a player. West Ham are dissatisfied with his work in the transfer market – questions have also been asked about the decision to spend £24m on Pablo Fornals in the summer – and have reservations about giving him more money to spend. West Ham may review Husillos’s position at the end of the season and will not stand in his way if he wants to leave before then. Is Husillo going to be made the scapegoat or will the board remember that both Husillos and Pellegrini wanted to bring in Roberto as our No 1 Goalkeeper in 2018. |

Playing another team tonight who are going through a really poor spell. Hope I’m wrong, but playing West Ham usually brings an the end to that poor spell!!
