3 defenders - none of them marking the goalscorer.

Next goal huge
By:
Celtic starting to dominate, get the equaliser and will be big favs for me with away goal.
Aek score next ties over |
By:
I wouldn't say dominating, they created a great chance and missed it.
By:
aye but even before they created the chance theyve been dominating, aek had a good first ten minutes, all celtic since
next goals massive |
By:
I bet celtic to win 2-1 (14/1 on here).
Don't think they are out of this. |
By:
Griffiths looks well short of match sharpness. Missed a good chance and has been giving the ball away with poor passing.
By:
Depends how you define dominating I suppose, AEK who don't need to score were hardly under siege, Celtic had more of the ball and created a chance or two but AEK didn't look in trouble at any stage.
I'm hoping Celtic turn it round but they'll have to improve. |
By:
We look the better side. They're well organised and our defence is sh1te but man for man
we're a better side. Quietly confident we'll do it, wasn't pre match tbh |
By:
great timing, tie over
By:
all over folks
By:
not over yet pal.
By:
Well, that's me green, but I'd have much rather potentially have had Liverpool etc v Celtic down the line the Liverpool etc v AEK.
By:
The end of Rodgers. He's better than this 5hite. Done a great job and deserved better support.
By:
game on
By:
Draw was 22/1 on here just before the goal.
By:
Theyare there for the taking, cmon celtic
By:
Ha ha chris sutton all doom and gloom talking about europa league and they scoreEx footballers know it all don't they.
By:
Now 7/2
By:
Cmon Celtic, a late winner like maccavennie 88' cup final

A fking nitemare. By far the better side there, shocking.
By:
Disgraceful exit.
By:
rodgers days must be numbered, dumped out of the champions league by a very average outfit and languishing mid table in the SPL, behind arch rivals Rangers. surely not good enough.
By:
good effort Celtic, esp in the 2nd half but as always the defence has sold the jerseys
By:
Rodgers done nothing wrong. Given zero backing in the summer whilst the main rivals finally appoint someone with a decent rep
By:
Celtic must have pots of money why no signings?
By:
AEK brought in Alef from Apollon Limassol and the lad Albanis from Smyrni during the summer. celtic should still have had more than enough quality to put them away over 2 legs, backing or no backing ...
By:
Celtic are a better side than Athens but if you defend like that you've only yourself to blame. They should leave Boyata rotting in the reserves.
By:
Unlucky lads....season over, before the end of august
See you next year when you'll be back to square one. |
By:
Rodgers must leave after this faux pas Leicester 1.01.
By:
By the way how much have Celtic LOST by not qualifying?
By:
Earned 30m last season with this seasons payments raised by 50%

Disappointing result but not unexpected, not for me anyway. The original prices were all wrong, this was a coin flip of a tie, I can't understand why the market dismissed the Greeks and had them as 13/8 outsiders to qualify. This side were better than Olympiakos, are you telling me Celtic would have been odds-on to qualify past Olympiakos ?

Shocking lack of understanding football requirements, from the board, but of the bigger picture.
Huge boost for Rangers financially and mentally, and not to mention the Thursday Sunday grind of Europe league. Effectively let Rangers back in on lots of levels when should not even be close based on the financial and footballing advantages Celtic have recently had. Couple of injuries or renewed bids from elsewhere from being in big trouble. And thoroughly deserved, arrogance and penny pinching beyond belief. Fed up of it. |
By:
Rangers are looking good imo, maybe wont win it this season but they ain't far behind now surely?
I fancy Rangers to stop Celtics bid for 10 leagues in a row either this season or next |
By:
Everything happens in cycles and this is starting to look like the end of Celtic's dominance over Rangers. I certainly wouldn't blame Rodgers for the current state of affairs, nor for him inevitably now wanting to move on. The board on the other hand should take a long hard look at themselves and how they have allowed this situation to develop.
By:
It's not been "Rangers" who have been their most recent challengers. Have you people not been paying attention?
When "Rangers" actually beat Celtic in 90 minutes, then we can talk about a challenge. |
