Rom, all our lot are old skool from the seventies. Not a single shirt or scarf between us. I wore a United shirt for the Europa final and had to borrow it.

Stage 12 TDF. Am having decent punt on Froome at 9/4.
Any one of the last two days tips could win but Froome must be fuming after his teammate “unexpectedly” beat him today and I reckon the course tomorrow will enable Froome to put a marker down. He needs to win by a distance too. |

I remember we used to have very small United badges on years ago , adidas mamba samba , bamba , think the mickeys used to wear lacoste gear thinking they were fashion icons mostly clobber that they had lifted in Holland or somewhere

I have nothing but the utmost respect for Luke Shaw or his agent.
He has never let us down on the pitch { despite the weight issues or people using it as an excuse to beat him with }. It hardly affected Rooney at his peak or plenty of others but Shaw gets both barrels as he doesnt get played so is an easy target for people to lazily say he needs to step up or sort himself out etc. More often than not he was quiet good when played but then gets dropped and people forget he had played well. Hand on heart can anyone say he was ever dreadful ? Plenty of others have in that time though but that gets ignored by the manager. In fact he has always been one of the better ones despite jose always finding something bad to say in his presser about him. Jose just dislikes him and wants him out without a payoff so is doing everything in his power to make him request a transfer. Biting nose to spite face springs to mind but its United who will be the big losers not jose. I remember last season jose trying to humiliate him in front of the crowd for not getting forward or back maybe and a few minutes later he berated him for the opposite. I said at the time i would have nutted him and walked off to accept my punishment and sacking. But in hindsight Shaw has played it brilliantly and made jose enforce the rolling year on his contract in the hope he would buckle in the lead up to the WC but Luke stayed strong and is now in the driving seat to either see out Jose or walk away for nothing and a big signing on fee in 9 months. Well played young man. |

OD i agree Jose was out of order trying to humiliate Shaw no doubt about that, but Shaw also needs to show his professionalism by controlling his weight issues and keeping fit
|
|
By:
Ive seen Rooney and a few others puffing on the pitch, can you honestly say you have seen Shaw look out of breath ?.
Over weight yes but so have plenty of players been and all we hear is they need a run of games. Why isnt Shaw afforded this time when others are ? |
|
By:
OD both Van Gaal and Jose have rebuked Shaw about his weight and i think there were murmurings about him from Southampton , but look i totally agree that Jose was out of order trying to humiliate him , as regards Rooney yes he had weight issue too
|
|
By:
To be honest i think we have bigger problems than Luke Shaw
|
|
By:
Could he ever be any worse than Valencia on the other side ?
Jose berated Shaw last year for giving us nothing going forward but what has turn around tony ever contributed in that sphere ? Its pure Bullying/intimadation to force him out with no pay off to settle a score. Except it wont cost him if it doesnt work but United . |
|
By:
Think about the players he has critised last season or taught a lesson and ask yourself this, how many will be behind him if things dont start well ?
|
|
By:
Yes i take your point there are a few probably fed up with Jose , but they are paid fabulous amounts of money to play for United
|
|
By:
My guess Valencia young jones Lindolof matic lingard sanchez and mctominay.
After some of his barbs im not sure most of the others would be in love with him. |
|
By:
The point is though its up to the Manager and the players to sort it out and give 100 per cent every game , if you do that then thats the best you can do
|
|
By:
Take it easy OD im off to kip now
|
|
By:
To a certain extent after your first few million money becomes irrelevant anx.
Yes they want top dollar but its more a status symbol. Im pretty certain most are not thinking Manchester United are paying me good money i must do my best. |

Kip well anx.
Glad your starting to see the folly of blind faith. |

Doesn't look like a very harmonious ship at OT. ANd the reported signings are the usual 29/30 year olds who will do a job for a quick fix. Where is the long term matserplan or identifying of KEY players who would be part of a winning system? I just don't see it.
Keep up the good work Jose...... ![]() |

Its just rank bad management Charwell.
Play the right way and try make investements for the future with the odd big name and most people will give the manager time. Play and act like Moyes van gaal and Mourhino and the fans act in short termism just like the manager imo. |
|
By:
Agreed. I think Jose is rotten fit for the clubs long term future but PTB etc love him. A real marmite character and is divisive even amongst the club followers.
I just don't see Utd challenging for the major trophies again with him at the helm let alone creating any sort of lasting legacy. Hence why I hope he stays for as long as possible. |

Agreed, Shaw is class, simple as that and will be, probably for someone else as will Martial, Mourinho simply can't man manage anyone who doesn't automatically conform to what he wants, he turns on them and alienates them, hopefully Mourinho will be gone come this time next year.

Think mourinio likes to pick fights with players at clubs usually ones he hasn’t signed it’s just his way think he has a nice looking fixture list to start with and should take advantage
However if he fails to then the new man will have the January window to re address things |
|
By:
The thing that I think is a real issue now is that with Mourinho in charge, attacking attractive players that would once have been obviously attracted to United will now have a real issue with signing for a man that is basically anti to their style of play, they'll look to the likes of Miky, Martial and even Pogba and wonder if it's solely down to those individuals for their poor form.

Well lads, i sincerely hope Jose survives your wrath long enough to serve up another delicious masterclass of p1ss-boiling at Anfield. 0-0

Extraordinary stuff dolph, not even a pre season game played or the transfer window concluded and there is a long queue lining up to wave goodbye to the manager
![]() Like you, I can’t wait for the first 0-0 or a defeat. Will be funny as. Even the scouse are almost embarrassied to come on here and rip the manager apart as there’s not much more they could add ![]() |

No two ways about it, there are plenty who want shot of Mourinho and if lads on here are anything to go by it could build up and become a real problem.
If Mourinho thinks his own fans are against him you wouldn’t bet against him walking, especially if Ed doesn’t get him the players he’s asked for. |
|
By:
Your going to find it funny when we are beaten ?.
Well fook me, charlton 2005 and rommell do as well. Nice company. |
|
By:
you will be challenging next year why would you change now
give him one more season you will just have to bear it when he shuts down the game to guarantee the result and the fans start to moan but you knew what you were getting as even the chelski fans started moaning after a bit and they had no success for years |

And if he's greedy enough to spend a bit of down time away from his family again to earn a nixer from RT then he aint walking out.

Oh dear chaps, dissent in the ranks already, a bit early for that?
Mourinho brings this on deliberately,a real split in camp, some hate some love. I'm not in your camp as we know but I am a firm hater.... His attitude demeanour and style if supported his teams would turn me away, his treatment of individuals also poor. Happy if stays though... |

Morning Jed,.
Clearly Mourinho has issues re man management and airs things in public that he shouldn’t at times. However he also uses the media when he is unhappy about things. Surely nobody believes that he is happy at the lack of signings so far, particularly the targets he’s given to Ed? Alderweid and Willian are players he expected to get and Ed still not delivered. He’s getting frustrated with Ed because there appears to be a conflict with who he wants and who Ed thinks is commercially more attractive. The likes of Bale and Neymar are always on Ed’s mind because he thinks he could still make huge profits out of them despite the massive transfer fees they would demand. Yet he’s been unwilling to pay a few million extra for Sandro who Mourinho was keen on. Sane thing happened last season with Perisic. Ed trying to be clever usually ends up with him getting desperate and paying far more than if he’d acted earlier. How much has Klopp paid out for Liverpool players now? Must be close to half a billion I’d have thought? Only pointing it out as we get the usual scouse suspects on here going on about how much Mourinho has spent but not realising Klopp and others have also spent a lot. Sadly it’s the way of modern football and fans shouldn’t really care about transfer fees if it doesn’t impact on them. Mostly that’s the case now as sponsorships, TV, shirt revenue etc covers the big fees. |
