Your assuming Slippy that the Dad went to the police and not the local rag to try and get rich off his daughters experience.

I don't really care what happens to JC. If a video surfaced on YouTube of you spitting at someone do you think you'd be fired from your office job? Not sure, maybe.

What annoys me is the Dad, what a s hit role model. Clearly filming because he was trying to goad and instead of being angry that his daughter was spat at he is clearly delighted that he might have it on camera to cash in on.

Police can deal with JC for spitting and decide the punishment based on the law, hopefully the Dad gets punished for driving with a mobile/dangerous driving etc as well as vilified for being s hit at his job as a parent.

what's smoking pot got to do with gobbing at someone?

Sky are well aware that people are unlikely to subscribe because their presenters spit at teenage girls from their car window but they know it's possible people will cancel their subscriptions if they do nothing. And where's Carragher's credibility the next spitting/disciplinary incident on the field? He's put them on the spot.

So there we have it gents. It's all the fault of the girls father in provoking this next to harmless reaction from James.
I believe dangerous driving carries a suitable prison sentence and James can finally feel that justice is done.

Can't say reminding him of the score can really be deemed as provoking him. Along the same lines many many years ago we were driving round the north circular and pulled up along side Pat Jennings, he was sitting in a mini. Have to say he looked fxxking ridiculous with those big hands of his round the tiny steering wheel. Anyway gave him some sh1t why didn't he come and play for a decent club etc etc to which he wound done the window and give us grief about Chelsea, he handled it well and it was all good humoured. Mind you given the size of him I don't suppose he was to worried about a car load of spotty teenagers Laugh

Why does his position or his wage come into this? I thought you wanted him to be judged like everyone else, yet bring up his position and wage in the same breath.

Carragher would have to commit mass murder before some on here would blame him.

Lets dial down the overreaction sweetheart, I haven't seen anyone say Carragher isn't in the wrong. God forbid anyone question anyone elses actions though.

You are deluded or very naive if you can't see the relevance of his position in the context of this incident.

Oh Mr MoneyShot don't speak in riddles please tell me how position and wage affect what is right and wrong.
By:

His position is someone who commentates on football. He will rebuke players for reckless challenges, poor behaviour from the fans etc etc. In HIS position he should know better..............oh well he'll have plenty of time to reflect
By:

Ah, so people who aren't commentators on Football don't realise spitting at someone could be seen as disgusting. Gothcha.
By:

If only he'd retired from football and sat on his previously made millions, he'd be free to spit at anyone he wants without judgement from you.

I never saw why lads convicted of football offences should also lose their jobs. But as Carragher's job is football related and this is a football related incident................on your way Jamie. Unlike the football fella's he's got enough to see his days out.

If this is a football related incident then police shouldn't be involved right? Similar to how footballers spit at each other and the police don't get involved. Please make up your mind.

Well put it this way, a former professional footballer, a father of a 14 yr old girl, who now earns a helluva lot of money as a Sky football pundit, who has previously condoned spitting has been recorded (and has openly admitted) spitting in the direction of a 14 yr old girl with NO PROOF (as yet) of any real, justifiable provocation. Just a tad hypocritical wouldn't you agree ?

And p.s Carragher didn't spit at a fellow footballer it was a 14 yr old girl FFS.

Is hypocrisy a crime?
By:

Shouldn't spitting in the face of anyone without provocation be judged accordingly, regardless of what occupation they have or had?

Would have been more acceptable to the majority of football fans had Carragher got out and gave him a good hiding.
Would have been far more likely to get a bit of bird mind.
Funny old world.

I like how you throw his wage and previous occupation alongside having a daughter to make it hypocritical. Otherwise you'd be saying its hypocritical for someone to earn a lot of money to spit at someone. Reeeeeaccch.

I doubt that the majority of people are in a position to condone spitting at someone on national TV Hamlin to millions of people. What exactly is your view on this then ?

By:
Hamlin
When: 12 Mar 18 22:03
I don't condone it, think it should be punished the same as if anyone was caught on video spitting at someone. Also think the Dad is a royal tw@t.

Agree about the hypocrisy, back in the day if I got caught giving someone a dig in the ear on a football terrace I'd et a big fine, banning order imposed etc etc plus the new additive of your firm wanting to sack you. Players who punch, kic or head butt another player or fan they should receive the same punishment.
