Quite ironic that on the weekend John Motson calls time on his broadcasting career after 40 odd years, Carragher's is done before it barely got started.

Any confirmation that Gary Neville is the driver of the other btw? Grin

There's no coming back from that, will lose his 1.5 million pound a year job at Sky along with other deals/guest appearance fees etc.

With no future income he could soon hit on hard times if his expenditure is too high, Bootle's not too far from Huyton, maybe he could give Revelz a call to see if he can still go halves on his Setanta subscription Laugh

Carragher did his best to drag Thiery Henry down to his level and was quite successful.  Hopefully we'll see a more confident and independent Thierry without Carra beside him.

wonder if Neville is organising a strike within skys office,s in support if he gets sacked, this could open a can of worms though as if he gets sacked ,there,ll be demands for the next player caught spitting at someone on the pitch to be sacked, million pound contracts and all that

Can’t defend what he has done and should be punished but not to the degree he loses his job,for me he has been stupid but there is no doubt the guy filming him was a pr1ck and had been doing it for a while probably looking for a reaction which he got .

How many innocent people have been killed by idiots using a phone whilst driving ..........

Guys daughter was even telling him to stop it but he wasn’t concerned about her only he got what he wanted...
I would have exactly the same opinion if it had been Nev .....we have all probably done things we regret or are embarrassing and we’re just lucky no one filmed it.

I’ve had a few at Cheltenham......................Happy

We live in a world of SM outrage.  SM is outraged so he'll get the tin tac.  He desrves to get the sack because he would be calling for someone else who did what he did to get the sack.  Personally I'd much rather someone spat at me than punched me in the face.  I'm not condoning the act at all.  It's very unpleasant.  But it's one of things that sparks a huge over reaction in this country, like touching a woman's knee without asking her permission.  Just don't do it.

SM wasn't outraged by Kirsty.  I'm confident Kirsty would not have called out against someone else in her position to get the sack.  Rather she would be the type to console them and give them a second chance.

clydebank is spot on regards spittin, the over reaction in this country about is way over the top, if someone in a road rage, pub was going to

punch you in the face
head butt you
kick you in the groin
stab you etc,etcv
or spit at you 99,9% of people would take the spit then have an out pouring of outrage

Yes the girl should have thanked Carragher for not punching, head butting or stabbing her. Most considerate of him really.
People just don't understand it's 2018 and not get carried away.

People are trying to blame the father for somehow provoking Carragher to spit at a young girl.

If I leaned out my car window and intentionally spat in your direction through your open car window and spittle landed on your face how exactly would you define that act ?

The Dad was obviously a Tw@t, the girl in my opinion wanted nothing to do with what was going on yet was on the receiving end of Carragher's anger.

Totally agree Sparrow, people on here trying to defend the indefensible.

Hopefully the father gets done for careless or dangerous driving and for being on his phone. Personally, i hope Carragher gets a massive ticking off and maybe ordered to give his pay for a couple of months to charity or something like that. Don't really want to see him sacked. Also feel it's a reflection of the sad state society is in when someone with his teenage daughter in the car is desperate to goad someone enough to get a reaction so that he can sell his story to the papers and try and get someone sacked. I love football as a sport but so many fans are morons.

Nope I’m blaming the father for reckless driving with his daughter in the car,and obviously more interested in getting a reaction from Carra than the welfare of his own daughter well hope he got well paid from the rags he sold it to because imo he doesn’t come out of this well.

And as I’ve said he need to be punished but not sacked

I would not have been going down the road for a couple of miles or whatever trying to wind u up.....especially with my daughter in the car you can here quite clearly the he dad didn’t give a toss she had been spat on

If someone had done that to me follow them and at the first opportunity smack them or phone the Police what did this pr1ck do straight to the rags

He should have sent it to Carragher privately on twitter and said 'the mirror have offered me £X for the video, would you like to match that and I'll sell you the video instead?' But no, he'll prob get done by the cops now. Two idiots.

And Carragher wasn't aiming for the little girl, he was spitting at the father/car. Yes he hit her and it was reckless but wrong to say he spat at her. She wasn't the one provoking him. She was even telling her father to stop because he was acting like a complete twát.
By:
sparrow

Yes that's right Carragher was clearly aiming for the father and it's amazing that it hit the girl.

Of course I don't think that of her father but you seem to think that Carragher should somehow be excused of his disgusting behaviour because of the other stupid adult.
