Been waiting on this one. Besiktas are constantly underrated and it looks they've been written off here.
I'll be on them to give Bayern a game in some capacity, just haven't decided on the bet yet (asian hcp, goals, lay HT/FT maybe). Need to check team news. |
By:
Besiktas sold their top scorer of the group stage to Everton though didn't they. Did they replace him with anyone?
By:
Is that Tosun ? Has he even scored for Everton yet ?
By:
Yes and no.
By:
Lay, lay, lay Barca and when you've done that ... lay them some more. All inmmho, of course

They replaced him with Vagner Love who scores goals but is 33. Talisca in midfield who is on loan from Benfica is also a goal threat. They have Negredo up front too. Not so sure Tosun will be that much of a loss to them but I'd expect Bayern to be better than they were in the first half of the season with Heynckes back at the helm. Bayern also underrated for that reason imo.
By:
Looks like Besiktas have quite a few injuries altho I don't know how influential those players are. Bayern by contrast are at full strength (Neuer apart) - very unusual for them.
If this were a group match, I'd still be quite comfortable taking on Bayern at a very short price, but knockout stages are a different animal. Still a lot to ponder. BTW Trilby, are you seriously giving Chelsea a chance tonight ?? |

Per descomptat que sí, Senyor Platini!

got to give the game at least 10,but the barca price might look awffy short...Barca's three away scorelines in the group stage were 0-1, 0-0 and 0-0

Bayern are too short, imo. I've watched them a few times recently, and their defence is a disaster waiting to happen. Beskitas had an excellent away record in the groups, three wins, seven goals, and they could give Bayern a match tonight. I don't think Tosun is a massive loss. Good player, but I don't think the champions of Turkey will be so completely reliant on one guy
Would have liked to have backed Barcelona to qualify, but they haven't beaten Chelsea in the last seven, and as poor as I think Chelsea are, there's no reason they can't nick a 1-0 |

Negredo has been a let down for Besiktas and wouldn't surprise me if he's dropped or subbed off before 60 if he starts. The only unavailable player Besiktas will really miss is Tosic who is a first choice CH. The other players listed as out haven't played for them all season. You'd expect Besiktas to score and they are a touch above odds against to do so. Their fans are banned for away legs but should still be plenty of Turks mixed in with the home fans.

Hazard & Robben both to score is 11/2 in Tuesday's OddsBoosts on Sportsbook

Releasing my inner mug & letting him run amok in the Bayern game, over2.5 goals,over10.5 corners, over 35 booking pts @100/30 slybet.
The goal stats are very strong, from a referee standpoint booking pts also...Ovidiu Alin Hategan the Romanian ref has an excellent tally albeit from a relatively small sample size with a high Red count. Corners... Bayern very good, probable line ups indicate plenty of width also. Also backed a Red & Pen @9/1 with Fred & a Besiktas Sending Off @11/2 for a few pennies just in case the likes of Robben, Pepe etc go ugly early. |

Very surprised Barca are odds against. Bournemouth won 3-0 recently at the Bridge. Watford beat them 4-1.
This could quite easily get messy. Any other away win at 17s would be my pick. |
By:
haven't barca been mostly awful in away knockout ties recently ? lost 4-0 and 3-0 last season alone
as poor as chelsea have been recently i wouldn't be writing them off at all. barca would be delighted with 1-1 |
By:
had a pretty hectic schedule too barca
By:
certainly Barca's away record isn't stellar, but it takes a right good side to beat them. Chelsea ain't it.
By:
Would wait for teams in the Chelsea match. Whether Morata starts or not is a big question. Reckon it could be a low scoring draw or 1-0 0-1

Bayern game is on Freeview 115, for anyone who doesn't have satellite.. 365 free bet is also on for Chelsea - Barca.

ive watched barcas last 3 matches in la liga and theyve been absolutely dire, couldnt be backing them to win 2nite

Barca are a big price tonight
They have usually been shorter than this on visits to England from what i have recall. Chelsea are looking like the weakest side they have ever played over here , going on recent months . |
By:
Barca have lost once since they were written off after the Super Cup last August and that was in a 2 legged tie that they won overall. Tonight they're up against a team in disarray who conceded 3 against Bournemouth and 4 against Watford and have to either go for it or try to win the tie in the Camp Nou where Barca are truly formidable. 0-0 suits Barca but they have to fancy breaching that back 3 (presumably Azpilicueta, Christiensen & Cahill) as readily as Roma did.
By:
Bayern do look too short . Kind of puts me off betting though that with these sort of games they are usually 3-0 within 25 minutes .There is no team more efficient at home to underdog teams.
By:
Barca are my main outright bet all along . IMO they have outperformed every team in Europe all through , but typically have been 4th in the betting most of the way .
By:
I can't see Chelsea players wanting to down tools in the Champions League like they did against Watford and Bournemouth. I reckon a 1-1 is quite likely. I'm heavily invested in Barca for the outright, so a Barca win would be good for me. Might put the free bet on Chelsea to give me a little bit of insurance in case Barca don't qualify. Can't see it though, Chelsea aren't good enough to win over 2 legs.

Neither Morata or Giroud starting is a surprise
By:
Surprised Morrata not starting,Barcelona have not scored that many away from home lately , think this looks Under 2.5 goals maybe even under 1.5 goals
By:
thought giroud would start to link the play up and add some bulk up top.
