amazing how the stars of last season payet, mahrez and vardy have been the flops of this season and left their respective managers up sh1t creek without a paddle.

youve gotta love the gutter press - Henry Winter in full flow on twitter "some of the leicester players want Nigel Pearson back"

If any manager earned the right to survive after a relegation then it was Ranieri.

supporters  were  hoofed out years ago -  all about the owners now  - even the stadiums are brand names  -  football is mentally ill

Makes sense they were awful last night, abysmal! The score line didn't tell the whole story. With a different manager they may stay up and may even turn over Sevilla in the next leg.

Still shocked though, brutal decision.

How the **** can you justify sacking managers who bring you an impossible dream, less than 12 months later??? I agree I hope the owners stew on their club getting relegated this season and next.

This is the biggest gisgrace in football history. It is an embarrassment to the sport and unacceptable that a football club is allowed to do this.

If they where in this position at this stage last season he would not have been sacked, winning the league has made them think they're something they're not

you can only imagine the players involved are morgan, vardy, huth, marez maybe the keeper none of whoom on this seasons form should be complaining about anything excepting getting selected on their form

The Premiership has become a rat infested hell hole.

Agreed, similar with Rogers a few years ago at the pool. Nearly wins the league and then the club get rid of him because they cant live up to it.

Second year running that the League Champs have sacked their manager just because they've hit a bad patch.

They should have taken the £30 million for Vardy and sold a few more too. Players not hungry and never going to repeat it.

Feel sorry for the Manager as this is all down to the players who just have not had the same work ethic this season.

This decision wont help them stay up like it did two years ago.

decision should have been made on the basis of what they think he will offer in the future, not what he did in the past

don't think that is particularly relevant to the 'fairness' of his sacking

So you are in the trenches during the war and you say to your mates beside you "lets show the the jerries what we have got"and then you look round and you see your mates are"THE BOARD OF MANAGEMENT OF THE LEICESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB"CryCryCryCry

I hope the next appointment is a Birmingham-esqe type appointment, get a big name in like Zola, lose the next 12 games or so, the owners and the players would deserve it.

Wouldn't be surprised if come the summer, Ranieri is offered another job in the Prem, maybe at Stoke or even Everton if Koeman goes to Barca.

Would be poetic justice if Leicester were relegted and he was still the Premiership.

As I said earlier HE brought them the impossible dream. They wollowed in the glory he brought them. THE PLAYERS let him down, and now the owners have done likewise. Shocking, shocking, shocking.
