Its now time to reflrect on the comments below. After last nights tepid affair what do Liverpool fear the most.Is it
i. Ibra No he will be outnumbered as Utd team will be focussed on defence. It will be only him and Matai n Liverpools penalty area .Ibra will be lucky to have 2 or 3 shots on target never mind score a goal ii. Mata Yes he is very dangerous ii. Penalty to United statistically No but the dangerman has to be Phil Jones if he gets forward iv Offside goal to United This is the greatest risk to Liverpool as Mata did the business on Tuesday v Any other Utd goal- Apart from Mata -unlikely and Liverpool do not do own goals vi Other factors in favour of United- Liverpool have not scored in last 2 games vii. Factors favouring Liverpool- Top of the top 6 mini league results this season whereas Utd are joint bottom I thinkLiverpool do not generally lose to top 6 sides Penalty for Fellani foul Result it will be 0-0,1-0 to United or 3-0 or more to Liverpool if they score the first goal Most likely result is 0-0 .Liverpool will be using the match as a trial for Plymouth replay and how to breach an 8 man defence |

Liverpool's record against Utd is generally dire outside the season under Moyes where everyone was beating Utd.

By:
Didn't Liverpool do the doube over United the year we won the treble?
By:
PTB out clearing streets around the stadium ...............to make sure ...THIS SMALL BLIP GOES AHEAD .. .............UNITED CAN GIVE THEM 6 OF THE BELT ON SUNDAY .................Anything to get 3 points .. his money is on on on for the league winners ..
The gap is closing ..and huge finish to season ahead ,,?? |

Liverpool fans now sh!tting themselves. After SAF knocked them off their perch this is now the game they judge their entire season on. They are not acting so cocky after Wednesday. I expect they'll take their frustrations out on the toilets at OT. It's about their level.

The aching emptiness of not winning the league for 27 years must be really effecting their psyche by now.

^^^^^^^ It must be a real drag trying to prize that monkey off your back. Especially a 27 year old monkey.

YOU REEK OF DESPERATION,searching the net to tell us how big your club is
Liverpool fans have been getting cocky lately, I like to remind them how insignificant their club now is. |
By:
ask your own fans how insignificant this fixture is,theyll put you right,18-5
By:
Unless you have a massive inferiority complex and an unhealthy obsession then it is silverware that matters not individual matches.
By:
i think youre a mess of complexes and obsessions unfortunately for us channnelled into football

Manchester United v Liverpool has been a really big game for the last 50 years no doubt about that

Never said it wasn't a big game. I say in the scheme of things, qualifying for the CL, it is just another game. We don't get 10 points for winning just 3 same as if we beat Hull or Stoke.
By:
weve had a kick up the arse and it hasnt cost us,overegged it agin plym, played badly again soton now we'll plummet down the league, wel.we will see
By:
1percenter its true you only get 3 points but its a direct rival and also the emotion of the fixture does give the victor a massive boost for the next few games
By:
No can doubt that the Mickeys are a very dangerous team , they have a big threat in attack although mane is a big miss for them , they have defintley improved and are not to be underestimated, having said that im not convinced about them at the back or with their goalkeepers
By:
fwiw, think we'll give you a much harder game than the odds and people think, said before-just hope theres an early goal, open the fckn thing up....another borefest i think we can all do without
By:
yeah these top 6 clashes, gotta stamp your authority, acquire a reputation...
By:
importance of these top 6 clashes overstated. chelsea are mainly well clear cos they've only dropped 2 points in the 14 games against the rest
By:

Both managers are well versed in using defeats as springboards. United could lose on Sunday, Jose could blow his top, we could go on another winning streak. Jose's objective this season is CL qualification. He won't give a **** who we lose to as long as he achieves that. |
