I understand Mo's tactics for the match will broadly be as follows

i. Utd have no chance of containing Liverpool's  formidable attack  with open play so Utd will be playing in  defensive mode  with   a 8-1-1 or 7-2-1 formation. At least 5 players will  be  required to be in Utd's penalty area at all times.

ii. Utd  will only have about 2-3 shots on goal in the match so probably  will need a soft/dodgy penalty if they  are going to win the match.

iii.  Mo will crank up the pressure before the match by moaning about all the decisions going against Utd this season

iv  Mo's  tactics in top 6  matches are  always the same .-mass defence and hope for a breakaway/fortuitous   goal .From Utd perspective the outcome is  pre ordained .Its either 0-0 or a 1-0 victory the best Utd can hope for.

v. If Paddy Power offer odds on Utd  possession in the match being under  40% go for it

Before anyone starts  banging on  about the 27 years  since Liverpool won the Premier league and its predecessor just remember Liverpools Champions league  performance is far superior to Utds

If Utd make the top 4 this year that will be a very good performance  orchestrated by Mo.However when you look at Utd's best players apart from the goalkeeper  Ibra,Carrick, Rooney and Mata  are all in the veteran stage and will need replacing next season at the latest.

When Man United won the Champions League, they won it as Champions of England, when Liverpool won the Champions League, they were 4th the previous season.

United's Champions League performance is vastly superior to Liverpool's.  What on earth are you on about?

Anyway good to see the fear factor kicking in early for you....wary of slipping up at OT???

Going to hinge on who Liverpool can get back fit imo.

As we stand we could be without our best CB in Matip, our best midfielder in Henderson and our two best attackers in Coutinho and Mane. And Sturridge. With those five out we will have virtually no chance. If we can get Matip, Hendo and Coutinho back I think we will be hard to beat. Especially given Klopp's record against the rest of the top six. Just need to hope all three can get some minutes before so they aren't straight back into this fixture.

It's fallen nicely for Utd all the same. A home tie the Tuesday before the game whereas Liverpool are away at Southampton a day later.

I remember when people had to check who was reffing to game to see if it was going to be another nailed on Utd win.
Anyone know who has this game ? Hopefully its no the last lad that lives 5 miles from Old Trafford and all his family are life long Utd fans but he supports Altrincham Crazy

OP is clearly trolling. Liverpool have a load of players missing. They could be there for the taking if they don't get any of them back fit, and have Matip missing for this AFCON fallout thing.

N88. Very much doubt Matip will be missing for that reason. Don't think they have a hole in hell of bringing sanctions against him.

Still the biggest game in England, fact.

Don't know. FIFA can be very picky with things like this. It likely comes down to Cameroon. If Cameroon want to be pr*cks about it then I think they will get their way, if an agreement is reached they won't.

N88. I'd potentially agree if he had played for them recently, but it's been over a year and him saying he doesn't want to play for them any more has been well documented.

The return game at Anfield was one of the worst I've seen in a very long time.  This game will also be massively hyped up but will stink the place out once again. 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 FT.

Utd were in a bad place when we met at Anfield, and Jose basically surrendered before he began. All he wanted to do was not lose. Things are different now and his side are playing much better. He knows he won't get away with doing that again either, especially not at home. If we've got anything approaching a full side, it could actually benefit us greatly if he decides to have a bit of a go.
