they've also been unlucky with injuries .  They did brilliantly today .  Maybe should have shown a bit more grit in certain games  esp Swansea ,but were unlucky oin that game - would have won  3 or even 4-2  on any other day

I'm looking forward to the open top bus parade with Wenger proudly holding the club's balance sheet aloft.

The only thing fatal for Wenger imo is not making the CL.  The decision-makers aren't interested in trophies.

Mr ( happy ) Wenger has become more greater than the club owners and any fan that supports Arsenal.

Let's be honest here.

Wenger runs Arsenal and answers to NO one.

Sorry if that offends. He IS the big fish @ AFC and no one can touch him.

Who @ AFC can possibly take him on ???

He's become to powerful and taken his eye off the prize.

I am a West Ham fan but even I can smell the stench of power.

Wenger is now the longest serving manager in Europe.

Robert Mugabe announced that he intends to still be in control of Zimbabwe when he is 100.  Could he be Wenger's role model?

I wonder who he will blame for his latest defeat...

A, ref
B, pitch
C, injuries
D, unlucky
E, any other excuse...

Probably his worst season in English football. If he misses out on Top 3, even 4, this is nothing short of an abject failure. Every domestic trophy been there for the taking in an otherwise poor standard English season.

For me the arse introduced cheating into the game...

From aged 0 those kids have been taught to dive at the arsenal academy and they wonder why the first team have so many injury problems..

He is an absolute disgrace and should never have been allowed near..

Once again he's proven what an idiot he is. I have no pity for anyone losing money on his teams. The guy has become punters enemy number 1.

Wenger is deffo to blame for getting the 4th richest club in the country to finish at least 4th every year since time began. Arsenal spent 15mil this year, there are hardly any clubs in the prem spent less! not just the big clubs. Wenger is and has been an absolute genius. If he leaves we will drop out of the top 4, and at this time with Spurs and West Ham pulling in 60k a week we might not come back.
No, Wenger isn't the problem, it's you lot, the embarrassment of all us (the majority) real fans. Stinking out the atmosphere at home with your whinging after half an hour every game if the team isn't leading. digging out pathetic banners at the earliest chance. Turning our home stadium into a $h1t place to be for the players. Leicester City are getting dragged over the line by their awesome home support, no wonder they give free beer and doughnuts. If we gave our fans free doughnuts they'd complain about the f**&^*g icing..

Do you honestly believe Arsenal football club with their fan base and history would fall out of the top 4 places if he left ??

Thats such a negative thought , maybe to many fans have been brain washed by Wengers mind games... The facts remain he never paid for one single player in 12 months. That's the facts. Just a freebie from Chelsea.

what's the use of finishing 3rd or 4th every year ?

would better off finishing out of the top 4 occasionally but picking up a couple of league championships over the last 10 years which an ungrade on wenger would surely have managed

its quite simple really , he has had his day and its time for him to move over and let someone else have a go at bringing success. i think overall he has done a great job and built some really good teams but that is history and its definatley time for a change.

Ancient history and not modern history - he was finished when Arsenal played their last game at Highbury.

He has simply conned the Arsenal mug fans since year after year LaughLaughLaughLaugh

Wenger in his time at Arsenal has set records that will probably not be beaten the undefeated season being the crowning glory
He has also made Arsenal 1 of the most financial solid teams in the prem he has signed players that lit up the prem but after this season it has to be time to go

Why would Arsenal get rid of Wenger?

Look what happened to Man U after Fergie.

Can Fergie and Wenger really be compared to one another ?

Fergie was a winner bringing major success.

I've heard the 'look what happened to Man Utd' after SAF left but the situation, imo, is very different. SAF somehow managed to get a fairly poor (in terms of their SAF history) squad/team to win the league, by almost his own will alone.
Arsenal have a very high quality squad that needs a few adjustments and a manager with tactical nous to change and motivate them. Yes there is most certainly deadwood in the squad but AW refuses to move them on, even putting them in the team when they really are out of their depth to everybody but Arsene himself.
AW was a winner as the record shows and it's frankly nonsense to dispute it. However he is now and has been for a decade too concerned with the finances at the cost to the team- penny wise and pound foolish.

These are must goes for me. That's the deadwood and some have been that way for years-collecting huge amounts (£s) for very little return.

Always rated him, but now it's time for a change, it's all gone stale. It's the same post Xmas implosion every year. I'm not an Arsenal fan or Spurs fan or any rival club to Arsenal for that matter.

Apparently Arsenal only start playing when the pressure is OFF.  IMO they only start playing when the pressure is ON.  When their top 4 position is in danger or needs to be consolidated but you can only tread water for so long.

he's lucky he found Arsenal, not only do they pay him more than any other manager in the world, but he gets to stay without winning any thing of significance, can you imagine any big club in Europe keeping a man who went 12 years without success, take Madrid for example, Benitez lasted 5 months.
By:

When: 19 Apr 16 23:42
He didn't find Arsenal-Kroenke found HIM in situ making the club money with a vision that could make even more money- That was right up Kroenke's alley and here we are- penny pinching with transfers but the costliest manager and season tickets in the world. Kroenke has found a once great manager but now more accountant rolling in the money.

Not enough money spent is not the problem.

Wenger is the problem.

If Arsenal do actually spend £150M in the summer it will make no difference , as Wenger would spend the lot on munchkin midfielders and defenders that no other Top 10 club in the top leagues would have in their squad.
By:
enpassant
When: 20 Apr 16 01:36
You are correct that Wenger is the problem but if he were to spend that big- the issue wouldn't be the quality of the players but his poor tactical nous, his loyalty to poor players, putting square pegs in round holes, his stubbornness and not least his complete inability to motivate his team. He is past his sell by and it's getting beyond sad.
