The reason football, is so popular, is because its a simple game for people to understand. Get the ball in the goal and thats all that counts, whereas most other games, require some brain. In more games than not, little happens, plus the fact they will not bring in technology, so the game can be refereed properly, with the correct decision being made on 95% of occasions, rather than around the 60% at the moment
