wait till they beat Italy in the friendly. their euro odds will be cut into single figures.
we've been here before ![]() ![]() |

We're probably in the worst Euro qualifying group ever. But you can only beat what's put in front of you, and England are doing that very well. But frightening. Have a look in the mirror, Wayne, that's frightening.

May aswell crown England now

England have some good young players. Can reach the euro 2016 semi finals with a little luck.

England are frightening, in the Halloween sense of the word
|
|
By:
they are shoite
|

Attack and defence are fine. We always have good defenders, and a three from Sterling/Sturridge/Rooney/Kane is as good as anything else that'll be at the Euro's. Midfield is what bothers me. Henderson and Carrick fine, but Delph? We need someone to come through. Could use Rooney there but Roy would never do it
|
|
By:
In saying that, if Delph had signed for Liverpool I'd probably be okay with. I'm as shallow as other England managers
|
|
By:
England won't win anything with Hodgson as manager, he is to boring and dull. If I was manager Rooney, Welbeck and Kane would have all started yesterday and England would have won 6-0 and put fear in to all the other teams.

|
By:
"Sterling/Sturridge/Rooney/Kane is as good as anything else that'll be at the Euro's"
you might want to revisit that statement next summer ![]() |
|
By:
the back 4 is absolutely shocking. i'd have no confidence in whoever is chosen against top class opposition
no fan of any the likes of terry, ferdinand, cole and neville but they were all several classes above the current defenders |
|
By:
At last we do seem to have a sense of team spirit and togetherness that has been lacking probably since 1996. We've had the Utd v Liverpool rivalry, the ego's of the likes of Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard and Beckham which at different times have held us back. We've also got a squad with plenty of potential. We've got a good keeper and a range of very good attacking players. I like Henderson in midfield but we probably need one more to come through in midfield. I've always been a massive carrick fan but unfortunately we didn't use him anywhere near enough when he was at his peak so i'm not sure now is the time. Wilshere could yet come through but at the moment he's still got lots to prove. The defence is a worry but we have players such as Stones, Clyne, Chambers, Bertrand who could come through. Cahill is good enough. we need to find a partner for him. Maybe Jones can come through if he's ever given a long run at centre back at Utd.
All in all we're not as good as Germany or Spain plus France have home advantage but i think it's right to make us 4th favourites. |

beat lithuania 4-0 and everyone running scared

If Scotland won 4-0 against Lithuania they'd erect a statue of Gordon Strachan in Glasgow town centre. Hell, if Scotland beat Gibraltar 1-0 they'll probably do that

Big question for me tomorrow is: will the Scots have recovered from losing their cup final to England's reserves?

Special One why are you always seething? I used to think England were total sh1t but with Kane they could destroy all of Europe and go on to win Euro 2016. Would love to stay and chat but I have to go to a bookies to get a bet on.

England are good on paper.

*im still seething after I layed Kane to score... fixed
|
|
By:
not seething as much as the punter who backed Kane to score a header with a firm who voided the bet (because he didn't start)
that's proper hard done by. |
|
By:
Not sure about that if it was stated pre-bet that such an eventuality would result in a non-runner.
I am sure that the punter would have been seething if Harry had come on with a minute to go to wind the clock down if the score was 1-0. Plenty of chances to have a pop at the alleged "Bookmakers" without going off tangent. |
|
By:
Not sure if England are 'frightening' but we do seem to have some hungry predators up front Rooney, Sturridge, Kane and even Welbeck. Hope manager recognizes our best weapons are upfront imo.
|
|
By:
It should be Rooney and Walcott up front
|
|
By:
Will not come anywhere close to winning anything until they can keep the ball and learn about positional play.
End of. |

It should be Rooney and Walcott up front Can I get someone sectioned for offences against true life. Walcott is always injured and is rubbish anyway. Too many Arsenal players suffer from the same type of injuries. Once again the Manager has his coaches teach them to twist and turn and then fall down and put their right hand up demanding a free kick.. That is why so many players at the Gunners have lower leg injuries.. That is a fact. That Jack Wilshire is a classic case... |

stiff opposition in this group Rooney called it well

Walcotts top quality, when he's fit, imo. If he left Arsenal and went somewhere with a physio I think he'd been one of the first names on England's team sheet. Sterling and a fit Walcott flanking Kane, with Rooney behind, even Roy couldn't make that dull

top teams are told to drop a few poits to make 2nd 3rd more exciting

Defence is poor.
When you think that we used to have Cole, Terry, Rio and Neville as a back four, then compare it to what we have now, it's laughable. |
|
By:
spot on. the goal that sent us out of the world cup was sunday league and that's being generous. an hoof down the field, flicked on and jagielka and cahill were hopelessly out of position to let suarez in to score

England's back line is shoite, but their midfield and attack is decent.
England are probably joint 7th favourites with Portugal to win the euros, behind Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland and Italy. Don't think it is beyond England to reach the semi's in France. The team have found and identity and composure under Roy. The test will come as always against a quality outfit. |
