"Rose was sent off" "Charging over to the home fans punching the air is provocative, booting the ball into the stands the same" 1) "Rose was sent off" .....for a second bookable offence. If the referee deemed the action to be "disgraceful behaviour" (as you laughably suggest) then he does have the option to still issue a straight red. 2) "punching the air is provocative" .....if you think kicking a 420g circular object filled with air in the direction of a crowd is "disgraceful" / "provocative" then I would love to hear your thoughts on the objects (let alone chants) coming the other way. If you (and your agenda) feel the need to bring the word "provocative" to the argument, then it would be beneficial to not forget which party instigated these un-savoury scenes. A question to you - If you were Mr. Platini, what action (if any) would you have taken with regards to the match on Tuesday night in Kruševac? |

Read this on one site:
"Goalkeeper Jack Butland had, amongst other things, a seat and a brick thrown at him. Despite showing the objects to Turkish match official Huseyin Gocek nothing was done, he was simply told to get on with the game and it was to Butland’s immense credit that he kept his wits as well as a clean sheet." Terrible that the ref just turns a blind eye. Then again he was Turkish so he's probably used to firebombs going off during their games. |

Biscuit1979 for a man worried about racism you are kind of racist against Serbs and Turks.
By:
How exactly?
Please go back through this thread and copy and paste where you believe i've been "racist against Serbs and Turks" |

Lol at Liverpool. Your fans are only about five years more advanced than Serbia's. Living on past glories, singing about Man United and Thatcher and just getting over your biggest embarrassment of a neanderthal manager "King Kenny !! YAWN.

I only ever attended Elm Park and as I have returned to Ireland it is unlikely I will ever attend the new stadium?
Biscuit1979 I am unable to copy and paste but I did qualify my statement with the words kind of. The one thing I find about liberals is they are most illiberal when it comes to differing views, also they are used to no opposition and when I came on with a different opinion it was assumed by many that I had to be fishing, after democracy tyranny |

@wildmanfromborneo
"The one thing I find about liberals is they are most illiberal when it comes to differing views" With regards to the above, it's only biscuit1979 and myself (although many other good points have been made) that have both offered differing opinions to yours and given you the opportunity to respond by asking you a question (which you either ignore or refuse to answer) where as you have belligerently ploughed ahead with your own agenda, offering only statements and no questions in return.....I think this is why it is suggested you are fishing. I don't agree with militant liberalism and many left-wing views (I voted Conservative) but I think the issue of racism (and this particular issue of Tuesday in Serbia) has very little to do with "Politics" and a lot more to do with "Humanity" |

I think Robd270 you are correct, it is a question of humanity, basic good manners if you like. But i think it is understandable that Serbia are looking at Britain and asking can they really be critical of us. There is also a word for that...hyprocy
By:
spelt it wrong i guess!
By:
Racist behaviour isn't tolerated in Britain, so I don't think it's hypocritcal for the FA and government to call for action against the Serbs in this instance.
By:
Look many things are tolerated in Britain that wouldnt be elsewhere,we dont see other countries saying they want England banned.
By:
Robd270 its a lot more than two,I accept I am in a minority here.
What question did I not answer and I don't accept I am belligerent, you will see no name calling or swearing in my posts. |
By:
Hes not answering your questions
By:
i hope he dosnt start getting belligerent

I for one am not at all surprised by the racism shown by the Serbian fans. It happens time and time again. They are all the same these countries over there. They are all the same. Racist. I think their problem is that they are full of foreigners.

have anyof you met any serb? i have met many. and they are the most arrogant people while remaining the most uneducated and backward people i have ever met. I am not slightly surprised at their hooliganism and racism.
By:
Presumably you've met every Serb then?
By:
Personally I have met many arrogant and uneducated black people, but I would not dream of labelling blacks as a group to be arrogant and uneducated.

i went to croatia , on holiday, whilst the war was on, they didnt like the serbs
By:
colonel11, The British, Germans,Americans,Japanese,Ethiopeans, etc etc have all been considered arrogant.Such is life
By:
Of course all of these people have also been considered backward(except perhaps the British!)
By:
i maybe should have mentioned the French, they can be really arrogant!
By:
Im Quite sure the French would disagree, they dont always have kind words about us
By:
btw my point is not to argue about arrogance, my point is, from my personal experiance in that country, i am not surprised to the slightest by the level of racism that was on display.
By:
im not saying i necessarily doubt it,but i am always suspicious of common beliefs
