I don't know who will win, but I rate the Spanish around
1.85 and would only be a backer at better than 1/1.

It's true that Spain in 4 attempts have never won a match against France in competition although they did draw 1/1 in euro 95/96(stats since 83/84).

In their last two friendly matches they've beaten France twice to zero - 2008 and 2010.

Those two matches coincide with Spain's emergence as a competition winner and France's relative decline from being a successful team.

It still boils down to how they're playing now and that still gives Spain the edge.  France seem to be tiki taki with less goal scoring penetration (as well as giving away more goals).

Anything can still happen.

I should add that at the moment my bets (small amounts) are weighted to Spain.

France have terrible morale when they're up against it, they have a shoddy defence....
I will be Laying a bet of FRA to win in 90 mins

I fancied France to win this tournament but am concerned with the fall out in the dressing room in typical French fashion. I was also banking on them to win that group. They are better than they have showed so far and I think they have the potential to damage Spain out wide.

Was going to back France but no bet on this now, just sitting back to enjoy it. gl all.

You do have to be special to use a traditional bookmaker when you can play both sides here.

Here's a NAP for you.

1) Go to the corner shop and buy an 6/8-pack of Stella Artois.
2) Consume all of said beverage before kick-off (about 2 hours, give-or-take at current estimate).
3) Log onto Betfair through your computerized device (Laptop, Tablet, Netbook, Desktop, etcetera, etcetera).
4) Place random bet on any random market and then collapse into bed through alcohol poisoning.
5) Wake up in morning and check your BetFair balance in the morning. If you have won, then well done. If you lost, then consult Wonga or Ocean Finance.

Good night punters. Laugh

I think a draw is a distinct possibility, but I think that France will nick this 1-0.

There's no currency equiv. betfair points reduce your commission level. You'll be @ 5% now, every week it 'decays' by 15%. Therefore over time you have to bet more to continue reducing commission.

Correction:

That should read - It's true that Spain in 6 attempts have never won a match against France in competition..............(stats since 83/84).

(two qualifiers in 1991 to add - 3/1 and 2/1 to France)

France @ 5.3 is a joke.

France are not the Republic of Ireland. Laurent Blanc knows how to set a defence and France have some excellent strikers.

Spain have struggled with their MoJo and their defence is, to quote one of the top ten players in the world Laugh woeful at times.
By:
Srichaphan or Ancic?

French defence should ensure it is a low scoring game at least. Most of their games are lacking goals, so while everyone is talking this match up it could be a dull affair.

Betfair loser tipping the 0-0 pre game, what a shock!! You've only been wrong 26 times so far mate, keep it up you might get lucky one day. 5 games to go.

As likely it is, and how strong Spain are, 5.3/4 is a pretty high price for a French side that were largely predicted to be the dark horses before the tournament. If people were thinking that, these are the odds to cash in at.

If 1983/4 had any relevance then Liverpool would fight it out with Everton for honours
