I am expecting a different game as the one expected by most..(easy win for Germany).

Sorry Magic Flea, the reason I stated that semi-final matchup is due to my belief in things that are meant to be. Rooney comes back and scores the only goal to help England top the group, whereas had he not and France had beaten Sweden then we would be facing Spain next - a much harder game. Wouldn't be suprised if we lose on penalties against them either
![]() Germany have played the best football of the tournament so far, closely followed by Portugal. Spain's quality is hard to gauge as they spend half the match doing pointless passes. We shall see, but low scoring and German win for me. |

Historically in this tournament, at the knockout stage,
quarters, semis, and final, the average goals per match (90 mins play) was 2.1 with 45% producing draws, worth remembering perhaps. |
|
By:
Guys we know the stats say it will be tight in the quarters but i dont see it here :)

3-0 Germany
BS FGS Germany win to nil for me. Good luck all. |

The original 2004 Final match report is worth reading. Nobody gave Greece a hope in that game, and that's always the way it is with upsets. Portugal had Figo and Ronaldo, and were at home. Greece had 'nobody'.
I can't remember the prices, but I'll guarantee you a lot of banks went that day. Some games shouldn't be bet on before having a look, and I think this is one of them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/euro_2004/3860105.stm |

Reus FGS too, supposed to be pretty good apparently.

greece was 500/1 at the bookies in 2004 to lift the trophy.
what were zambia's odds to lift the AFC? |
|
By:
Greece were 100 or 150/1 at the bookies, I think.
I'm pretty sure they were 500/1 on here, because my sister asked me about their price and I had a look. I talked her out of it... Anybody remembers the odds in that final, I'd be interested. Portugal must have been 1.25, surely? |

The Greek no.6 (in central mid, with the red boots) looks like the guy with the beard in the black suit out of Superman III, General Zod's mate. Will he rip the badge of one of the Germans whilst General Zod shouts "kneel before me, son of Jor-El"

Reus and Shrulle will give Germany good width, and something different than seen in group stages. Will be different performance, very attacking from what I'd imagine.

Could be 2-0 after 2 minutes.

strange line up for germany - low is a very brave man, if this back-fires he will get slaughtered.
|
|
By:
fancy England against this lot .
|
|
By:
Thinking behind it is to give the side width, where the Greeks will sit deep like England did against France. Instead of playing Podolski and Muller, who like to play very narrow when wide.

greece that is

ive got my balls on germany ht/ft cmon germany

By:
All over 2.5 and 3.5 overs, this will be embarassing methinks.
|
|
By:
more width makes some sense but dropping your top scorer?
don't like changing a winning formula, those players were going great guns in the group stages. it looks like he's over thinking this, there is such a thing as being overly tactical. |

no man should bet his balls
