What happens is someone would have laid a large amount (in this case to a liability of 23,000 pounds on 0-0, after goal is scored they want to release the funds for further bets so they will now back 23 pound at 1000 to green up on 0-0 - ok this costs them £23 quid but frees up funds for further correct score laying

bot are great for implementing a system etc, or if you have a strategy you want to run while your at work etc.
By:
I often do this though this wasnt me in this case
By:
how can it move to 1000/1 so quick
By:
can any kind soul tell me which team is which, arrived late
By:
iron66: If market suspends all bets are wiped, so market comes back and no one wants to back. Someone comes and offers 1000/1 and someone then comes and takes it. All bets on betfair are made against other punters.

(except multiples, hence avoid them.)
By:
just using bots is not cheating
to cheat one would have to manipulate a match/player/etc |

home team is in blue. Away in White.

thanks ror

You have a bot that automatically lays 1000/1 after goal is scored - you then know some people will green up as mentioned so you 'nick' these little payments - they pay you for the privelage of greening up

Wait a second......great fish!
By:
Exactly, you're basically making a very short term loan of the liability and taking 0.1% as interest!
By:
no-one else laid a bet in the millisecond the bot was in...so hence the market taker has been royally screwed
By:
How come - dont get your drift?
By:
possible red card?
By:
Interesting to see when overs markets reach their pre match targets after such an early goal which hasnt fundamentally changed anything!
By:
It fundamentally added a goal! O2.5 should be pre-match odds around 40 mins in.
By:
Emelec suffered a red just before HT at Flamengo. Exactly the same happened last time out at Lanus : red card before HT leading to skanky 1-0 win for Lanus.
Any red card here could never again be against Emelec again |
By:
yes but it wont be! if a goal was scored now then I suspect overs would have reached pre match at about 40mins but now it wont!
By:
over 2.5 goals is now evens
By:
over 2.5 goals at start was 5/4

Interesting to see when overs markets reach their pre match targets after such an early goal which hasnt fundamentally changed anything! By HT imo. Scoreless half was priced @2.6, I expect the same for the second half. |
By:
anyone watching game, are Emelec dominating? it looks fairly one sided on the stats?
By:
Not dominating at all from what I've seen
By:
I think you are right! Despite the fact Lanus have scored an early goal on several previous games I have watched the match ended unders on the majority and on a couple remained 1-0! However, psychologically it is difficult to not think that suddenly this game is going to be different after an early goal. Statistically it makes no difference.
By:
Diep: But that supports the odds being same around 40 minutes! o2.5 is now o1.5 for rest of game because fundamentally a goal has been scored. So o1.5 in 50 minutes is similar price to the o2.5 in 90 originally proposed.
By:
emelec finding their stride now, hard not to see them getting an equaliser
By:
I think we are saying the same thing just in a different way! Anyway Im just reasoning to myself why I thought laying overs after the early goal was a good move to take advantage of the peceived high scoring game.

By:
The Emelec winger Valencia looks a danger. Hope Lanus can keep him quiet.
By:
ror, you know there is still 45mins to play, right?
![]() anyway, watching these games makes me almost always sick. it's s f*cking boring... if i could just stop betting on it lol ![]() ![]() |

cashing out

By:
Lanus totally shut up shop, minimal desire for another. Emelec not showing enough to break them down.

i must deposit one day on this site, so I can watch the games. Do you need a certain amount to view games?

all you need is firstrowsports

Backed Emelec after the goal, and have spent most of second half scalping 1-0 to hedge. And yeah, Valencia looks dangerous. Figerioa missed a sitter as well!
