City at evens/shade odds on are a definite lay in my opinion.
City might have a 100% home record this season but they have gone off the boil recently, and are up against a rejuvenated Chelsea side who desperately need points. This is going to be a severe test for City, who are under intense pressure now that ManU have overtaken them in the league. We'll find out what City are made of on Wednesday night. |

By:
if tevez starts or even warms the bench will be a definite buzz for city,if not then agree with highlander, chels buzzing a bit and the balotelli carry on last week sure didnt augur well

City look a good price to me. Chelsea on this 'good run' but not been up against much imo.
By:
City to short, Chelsea will push them hard. Draw no good to either, can see tight 1st half poss 0-0 but going over 2.5 in 2nd half. Chelsea perhaps value to win it at 4.4 pre match, but will wait to bet inplay.

Regular Fries, Napoli were good enough to get take 4 points from City in the CL, but not good to cope with Chelsea.
By:
It was a good comeback from Chelsea no doubt about that and they took their goals well. Emphasis was on Chelsea to go for broke so I don't take much from the formline with City way back in the group stages.
By:
City were on fire back then, they were going great guns, virtually unbeatable. At the moment City are very beatable. I expect Chelsea to have a right go at them.
By:
the other 3 games were about as soft as can be though. you'd have been amazed if they had won less than 3 out of the 4 since AVB went. even torres scored ffs. that's says it all
By:
definite signs that Torres is on the up
By:
City are evens because they are far from unbeatable ,even at home. Not only are a few of their major players underperforming so is their manager ( admits he got tactics wrong in last weeks Europa game). My one doubt about Chelsea is David Luiz. But then again City have Kolo Toure. It should be a game of thrills and spills with these two in the match,so entertainment guaranteed. At the prices - City lay for me.
By:
If Savic is playing, lay City.
By:
id wait for teams news if it savic and toure lay price will go higher, kompany lescott price will come in.
evens prob about right as i see lescott playing and kompany out |
By:
i remember a time this season when utd were 2.14 to beat liverpool at home

By:
Mancini couldn't be that mad to play Savic and Kolo together could he ? Not just behind the superfluous Nigel de Jong ?
By:
if mancini has any sense he plays richards and toure wiv zabaleta at right back if kompany and lescott are injured.
By:
It's a shame that Managers such as Mancini don't have the time to consult these forums before heading off to the match - they'd be doing so much better if they did...
By:
Lescott and Tery out for sure, Kompany highly doubtfull
By:
Terry
By:
lescott more likely to play then kompany.
By:
Talk sport have just said Terry and Lescott deffo out tonight

Cahill + Luis vs Aguero + Balotelli + Silva = City win

ManC would only be happy to draw at home with side
who are 4 points behind, not against a side 21 points behind. The only other time they would be happy with a draw would be if 0-1 in added on time. |
By:
Quite right kenilworth. A home draw would feel like a defeat given the position in the league and the run in to come. Unless, as you say, they trail late in the game (as shown by United's draw at Chelsea probably felt like a win).
Chelsea played well against Napoli, but I'm not reading much into their wins against Birmingham, 10-man Stoke (who never challenge the top teams away) and Leicester. |

Cob - you've either missed the joke or thrown a massive tantrum.
You really need to grow up, son. |

Seeing as the person that I posted that to took no offence and opened up a logical, mature debate, your point is rendered redundant, cob.
Not everyone looks for a problem to argue with - perhaps you could learn a thing or two. I doubt it, though. |

Chelsea have improved a lot in recent games although this is a bigger test than when we played Napoli due to it being an away game. One thing I will say is if Chelsea do beat City I think the Yids could become very nervous about the game on Saturday, especially as they haven't won at the Bridge for over twenty years, the goalscorer that day was a MR Gary Lineker.
I hope Chelsea go out to win the game rather than sit back and think a draw is a good result, this is another test for Robbie who has so far been fantastic. |
By:
cahill and luiz in a difficult away game. you'd have to think it's open goal for city
By:
Luiz has been better lately, though still prone to a costly mistake, Essien or Mikel in front of the defence will help, anyway City will be worried about Chelsea and vis versa, confidence levels from two weeks ago are very different from now for both teams, Chelsea's have obviously improved.
I think either team by the odd goal at most. |
By:
Ahahaha I get the feeling here that half the people think City are in a dodgy patch and could see an upset, and half the people can't see past a win because Chelsea are still rubbish (ignoring their current form). Since they have been rubbish all season and are still in the top 5 after drawing 4 games 1-1 dropping 8 points in the process against some of the easiest teams.
That to me reeks of champions and am suprised to see City priced so low when they lost to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, albeit by a penalty. I will be laying City and hoping they trade higher at some point. |
By:
After Chelsea's season so far, I really couldn't say we with any confidence how they'd play, this game will define both teams season in my opinion, if City lose then United will be champions, if Chelsea fail to win fourth place will be tough to achieve.
By:
Anyone wanna guess the teams? will tevez start? i think he'll come on as a sub.
By:
City are show starters, even at home. They don't come flying out for an early goal like the really top teams. They've only scored 4 times in the first 15 mins (out of 69 in total) all season and score 33% of heir goals in the first half - the second lowest percentage in the league.
I think they'll win, but expect them to trade higher. |
By:
think the team will be
.........................hart richards.........toure..........kompany........clichy .......................de jong ..................nasri......toure ........................silva ..................aguero.....dzeko tevez bench |
By:
deffo leaning towards city now with carlos on the bench, maybe getting 30 mins on the park
