Thanks Tez, and I wish you well with this. I am going to give this a try on Saturday. I observed this method tonight on a few games, backing a two or three goal lead and it was only a couple of minutes before I would have greened up. Do you place your 'back' bet when a goal is scored or do you do it when ever you fancy it in the game?? Hope this makes sense

Erm whenever i fancy it really, i get a feel for the odds and pick the right markets. And also try and watch the game if i can get a feed aswell. and get a feel for how its going. And then i try and pick the right moment to place my bet. But it does work very well if you back as soon as a goal is scored (after the market has settled abit) because then the odds will come down quite quickly and it is easier to green up. Also the odds shorten quite quickly from the 70 min mark onwards so it is a good time to place your bet around that time.

Thanks Tez, a few years ago I tried a similar thing, just on the 2.5 goal markets from the off but was trying to make at least 10% profit which was to much I think, it just took ages for the market to green up. But 2 or 3% is achieveable if you have a 3 goal cushion to work with.

New on here but have used a similar approach on "boring games" laying the Any Unquoted then backing within about 10 mins to green up for 2 or 3 % at most, 2 months no failures, some very twitchy moments though. (using soccer vista as a guide)

Not having a go, but it is really amazing how much attention this kind of thread gets.
For what I read, most of the posters here are newbies with no idea that they are getting into a lions den. Honest advice, careful with this kind of low odds betting. unless someone dedicates time to find the 1.02 bet or trade , it is just gambling and hoping that you are lucky... take it slow and 1 bet a day and you have a chance...
i have wasted enough time with such challenges and i am of the opinion that time can be better utilised by studying about games n stats.. in the end, discipline,research and money management can make you a winner not lump on jobs like this... still i can understand the thrill that this gives so my suggestion will be to SPLIT your bank into two or withdraw funds at some stages... good luck to those who are in it |

trader, ive been here a long time, and i bet quite large on occassions, wouldnt call myself a mug punter, used to be before betfair though, this is mainly a bit of fun, but was amazed that 50 stake would get you near 50,000 in 365 bets of odds of 1.02.so ive put my 50 in and today i have 78 quid , its fun and you can enjoy watching a match with a bit more interest, but i admit i dont know when the fun stops and it becomes serious for me if i get to the 500 mark possibly.
