rfferwfew no that was just an example, i was just explaining to someone. it doesnt really matter what the odds are as long as you back them 4 ticks bigger than you lay them, but i always try to go 2 to 3 goals higher than there are in the game when i place my bet - that way if a goal is scored once ive backed my bet then least there is chance for the odds to drop down again over time, so i can then lay them again.

Tez - like your way with the skimming but I feel theres less margin for error cause if theres a goal while you waiting to lay (say) a 1.56 from a 1.6 bet and you'll be left sweating for quite a while!

yeh i know what you mean but some people are backing under 4.5 goals from the start of the match at low odds and letting it ride the whole game and its win or lose. but im in and out in minutes, but if there is a goal in those few mins then my bet will be just the same as all the others that have backed it before the game will it not?

I suppose. Personally im doing something similar back/laying but on small odds, it takes abit longer for the odds movement but I feel it offers better 'safety' (if you can use such a word in gambling!!) Also, if I do let a bet ride I jump in for the last 10 mins or so, so not really losing that much time. Everyone has their own technique, im currently on £91.88 after 2 days

Iv been kinda doing the same sort of thing Tez with the ponies, but at better odds it must be said haha. I dont go full bank job on it, but it has been lucrative. My p&l is over 600 for the last 4wks. I only really do it at the weekends though. I will follow with interest, gl

supersmith - yeh it is what suits people best, i dont like to do it on the shorter odds say under 1.15 very often because i find it takes alot longer for the odds to move because there is a big difference in odds the lower you go so it takes longer to move. and also the amount of money waiting to be laid gets much higher the shorter the odds get, so it takes alot longer to get matched, and that could be the cost me, but if i get upto big stakes i will probably go on shorter odds because i will need the liquidity and 'security' off the lower odds.
