LL - yeah i know that is true, but a 4-1 win last week to AM was very impressive, not saying they will win, but barca like arsenal today are too short

and there is almost no one on here i dont like, i prefer to see the best in all on here, but you i cant take Boro are bad, as a season ticket holder i know that especially, but you're the type of person that even if boro had of won 0-2 today would still have been negative and moaning |

What do you fellow fans make of today? result obviously great 0-2 to plymouth and a good pen save by bradley J but coming out after the game to say we didnt play o neil as it will cost 1 mill if we play him again now i think if he is going at the end of the season then its the right move, but surely coming out and saying this to the fans was only ever going to go badly |
By:
£1m to keep him to the end of the season is bad business. let him and his missus get off on hols early like she wanted and win without him!!
By:
oh yes, that t!t of a wife of his can certainly leave
its just simple, if he isnt staying we cant pay a million for him tyo finish the season |

good find tobes
I got it wrong with the ginger one league record in charge of boro pld 38, won 11, lost 17, drawn 10- TOTAL POINTS - 43 43 points from 38 games, christ we would have a relegation fight on hands if that was 38 games from start of season |

you still not forgiven us for phil stamp ?
By:
I agree with Step - I thought WGS would be ok - but WGS is not as astute as I thought.
I also didn't realise how low the standard was in Scotland, even at Celtic and Rangers. If we are not careful we will end up like Southampton etc |

phil stamp scored the winner in the new years day derby in injury time and promtly got sent off for over celebrating,he will do for me [;)]

The fans were nothing short of superb today, we sang constantly especially at 3-1 down and continued it all the way through the streets of Derby to the car park

Boro have only spent money we received from sales of Andy Johnson and Brad Jones. (Mido/Digard/Pogatetz/Riggott/Taylor/Grounds/Walker have all been shipped out this Summer). Andy Halliday played today he's probably on £1k to 2k a week cost about £150k and was playing in Scots Div3 last year - not exactly big fee or big wages. |
By:
Your paying Boyd and Kevin Thomson over 20k a week that aint pennies for a championship side
By:
Halliday the boy from Livingston how did he look
By:
20k a week
![]() |
By:
Tobermory Kris Boyd knocked back 22k a week to re-sign for us and Thomson was told to leave as we couldnt afford the kind of wages he would get at Middlesbrough he had a year on his contract this summer
By:
Cardiff are paying £80k/week for Bellemy thats not Championship wages! - its the total wage bill that matters - Our Keeper is only 19 years old and probably on less than £1k a week. 4 of the 5 defence today were local lads.
The logic behind Boyd is that he has a transfer value because he was obtained on a Bosman. I am puzzled by the Thomson signing. He's hardly played due to injury. I suspect Rangers were keen to get rid due to injury problems. MFC is trying to pay £83m worth of debt off (which was used to build a new stadium, training complex, 5 star hotel and largest golf course in Europe as well as 12 years of the Bryan Robson and Steve McClaren era. We recently couldn't afford £800k to buy Craig Conway from Dundee United to show the lack of money. |
