Huth & Wheater should be able to cope with Henderson, and expect Digard & Williams to run the midfield, short sharp passes from these youngsters. Mix in the flair of Yeates and the experience of Coyne! UTB |

Middlesbrough began life outside the top flight with a fairly drab goalless draw against Sheffield United in the first game of the Championship season. United had the better of a lively opening and Keith Treacy saw a close-range shot well saved by Danny Coyne. New Boro signing Mark Yeates went close when a stinging drive was palmed to safety as the hosts began to dominate. Boro winger Adam Johnson had a strong penalty shout rejected but the quality then plummeted as the game fizzled out. Thank you BBC, couldn't have put it any better. Waiting on news of Digard, could be a big loss if GON is due to me out for a month. Emnes failed to produce much, and Lita was looking for the foul more often than not, ah well a pt is a pt, bring on Swansea (A) |

apart from decent performances from johnson and yeates, we were pretty poor. we need a big target man badly, aliadiere won plenty of headers but didnt hold the ball up really. and when he did flick something n emnes had run the wrong way or was nowhere near him. emnes dissapointed me a lot as well, he looked half decent at the end of last season so i hope he's just rusty coming into the new season. swansea will be a completely different style to sheff utd so hopefully we'll get back on track next week!
