Yeah, last 2 seasons been disrupted by injury. Signing of the season, think I may have to have a look at an eway bet for Top Goalscorer ;)

Ref Mido
Transfer fee is likely to be £1.45m, but his wages will be be £2.5m a year, which creates a serious saving compared with Lita who is probably on £0.75m per year. Rhys Williams (defender) has been very good in friendlies scoring 4 in 4 games. He looks very strong and very confident. I think he has a good future ahead of himself. Its interesting that Southgate has brought Alan Smith his former manager at Palace to help with giving him advice. I think he needed someone like that over the last 3 years. His current coaches are quite young and I never rated Crosby who has now gone. |

good post
Southgate definately needs some help, clerly he hasnt got what it takes to cope with it himself, and he needs to assert himself more as the boss, not a mate Rhys will be unlucky not to start on Friday, and i personally hope we get Leroy |

Yeah good points analyst..
As i've said before worth a punt on lita, bit fan of williams too GS been bringing him on in midfield too did against Millwall sounded like we played better with him and o'neil in the middle as well.. Agree about the southgate thing too bit of advice always helpful like el tel keeping us up that time. |

Morning Dunkley :)
It doesnt appear as if from what ive seen so far on this thread, that other fans are happy with the Lita thing, but we will stick to our thoughts ! |
By:
haha i know everyone to their own i suppose, might not even sign him yet anyway...
probably at the same stage as danny webber... was glad we didnt sign him! |

Is Tuncay still playing for Middlesbrough?
By:
sadly he is still on our books, but there is no chance of him playing for us again, he is just waiting for a move now
By:
I don't think that he will be able to go somewhere else.
It is too late. If there was any club that is interested for him, they would have made a move. |
By:
why would smith who will not be on bench on match days or involved in coaching during the week according to gate have any effect on the performance of the team, seems like a job for his mate to me,history elsewhere has proved these appointments dont work
By:
Eastnbull - i promise you, he will be going, teams are just biding there time so they can get him at a cheaper price, boro can afford to keep him, and he wants to leave, thats why he's missed all pre season, he will leave before september 1st
By:
I don't understand why he wants to go from somewhere that fans already loved him so much..
He can stay there and help Middlesbrough to promote Premier League again. So, he could be a legend-hero for Middlesbrough.. |
By:
thats what we would all have wished for but in the Gazette (our local paper)
he gave an interview simply saying, he has to leave, cos he just doesnt want to play at championship level |
By:
who the fcuk he think he is!!!
He was a piece of s,it in Turkey and he made a move over there. After a year, he thinks that he is another Messi??!!?? |
By:
lol, well the sad truth is, he probably is better than this middlesbrough team in the championship, but as i said theres nout we can do, so the quicker he goes and we get a few mill to spend.....the better
By:
Well, thats ok.
You can buy Arda Turan from us(Galatasaray) when you guys promote to the Premier League :) |
By:
Im not sure he'll be any good in 50 years time ;)

what do you think of your chances this season
last season was a weird one with sivasspor and besiktas dominating, will it be a similar story ? |
By:
There are two big clubs in Turkey - Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. When both teams are bad, Besiktas can be able to win the league.
Last year, it was really bad for both teams. Fenerbahce and Galatasaray had problems about their coaches. Aragones and Skibbe were the worst coaches I've ever seen. Sivasspor was very well but they have an advantage when they play their stadium. That city is the coldest city in Turkey and it is always snowy from September to March. Therefore, they never lose in their field. For this year, they sold 9 players(6 of them were in their first 11) and bought 15 players. They have to get along well in order to be successful but they already lost all their training games such as PSV(5-0) Heerenveen (6-1). Also, they lost CL qualification game which was against Anderlect (5-0). So, they don't have any chance for this year. Besiktas is okay but as I said, if Galatasaray or Fenerbahce plays well, they don't have any chance. Even though, they have a good team (Ferrari,Nihat,Ernst,Fink), they can't play final games well. Make this story short, they are losers. It is in their blood forever. Galatasaray is the biggest favorite team this year. Rijkaard is a top coach, we also got Keita from Lyon and Elano from M.City. We already had Kewell,Baros,Arda Turan,Servet,Mehmet Topal,Linderoth. If you watched the Euro2008, you should have known those Turkish players. Fenerbahce is not as well as Galatasaray in transfer season but their biggest transfer is Christoph Daum who knows Turkish League very well. As a result, I think, Galatasaray will win the league. I don't care rest of it :) Good luck mate. :) |
By:
great post there, i certainly didnt expect a turkish league prediction post in the thread when it first started
and im sad sivasspor wont be able to challenge like last year, but i feel it will be a similar story for wolsburg in germany, won last year, but wont come close this year thanks, and ofcourse best of luck to you too |
By:
maybe he no,s more than you 2 and no,s this team has no chance of going up thats why he wants away

Yep looks too be done, great news imo, and aswell on a free, you cant complain, cheers for letting me know Dunkley, when i went on earlier, that wasnt up |
By:
decent player there gary :)
By:
well i think so donny, most of the boro fans didnt want to see him come here, but on a free, i think he's proven, he has the capability if getting 25 goals imo
By:
Yeah I'm happy about it too...
hope he's fit enough to start on friday could give us that little boost to get the 3 points. |
By:
25 would be good , sure you would settle for 20 ;)
By:
I'd take 20 haha!... no price as yet on betfair on big Leroy to be top scorer....
could be FREE MONEY :) |
By:
nope donny its 45 or nothing for me !! im standing my ground on this one
HE WILL SUCCEED !! ;) |
By:
Fenerbahce is not as well as Galatasaray in transfer season but their biggest transfer is Christoph Daum who knows Turkish League very well.
Andre Santos and Cristian from Corinthians are equal to Elano and Keita imo. Elano is talented but has no spirit and probably won't make the grade in Turkey. As for Boro they look good for promotion but do need an attacking mid and a new manager. |

we wish mate
