Wow couch that's tough.
Catflappo did something go wrong with your bots or was that just variance? Fantastic continuation on a good 2012 for me: week Ending Up/Down 06.01.2013 + 13.01.2013 + 20.01.2013 + 27.01.2013 - 03.02.2013 + 10.02.2013 + 17.02.2013 + 24.02.2013 + 03.03.2013 - 10.03.2013 + 8 up weeks, 2 down weeks. Avg. Winning week =111* avg losing week (GP) |

Investor, not just variance, I put back some markets that I haven't played for a while to see if they had become profitable again. Disaster. Plus a poor month on my standard portfolio due to variance (I hope!).
Still only my third losing month in almost 8 years. |
By:
catflmasppo, if you are willing to share, which markets are those where you lost?
By:
Correct score and correct score 2 (football)
By:
those markets are deas for manual operator me. but i thought thwy would be still be profitable for bot users. what do you think is the reason you stopped winning on them?
By:
To be honest I've got no idea, they were never very profitable with my strategy. I could try just playing pre off...maybe a project for April

Very well played lads I will post mine when I return from work!

since i last posted on the 4th march.
Cricket: £643.23 | Football: £1,007.41 | Horse Racing: £809.41 | Tote: | Total P&L: £2,460.05 well it looks decent but i need to remember that it was only 10 days ago that i was virtually not betting. basically was unlucky took a couple of hits but my policy when this happens is to step back and reduce stakes until start winning again lol. i really enjoyed trading cheltenham although i'm useless at horses. i was laying favourites and the punters took me to the cleaners on the first day but i kept my head after being £800 down at the 2nd race on day two ![]() ![]() i learnt loads about horse racing last week which was great but i'm not bothering with it again as it dosen't really interest me. tbh i reckon if i had to bet on horse racing for a full year i would be a losing punter by the end. having said that my holiday form is already filled out for next years cheltenham as i definetly need it off work. i worked through it this year and it has hard work doing the bets! irish soccer in play tonight ffs! probably put corrie on instead ![]() |

thanks pistachio well played yourself. did you enjoy cheltenham? i'm really tempted to go down next year

By:
very nice smithy, are you betting inplay only these days? or are you still doing pre off trading? your betting also seems to have sharp swings these days 800 down and then 800 up on the horses.

By:
thanks henok. no i love pre off betting to much lol. i'm just slightly changing my system though. instead of always trying to trade match odds pre off i'm being more patient and waiting for the good pre off bets to find me instead of going looking for them. so i may only do 2 or three pre off bets at the weekend now and one or two midweek whereas a few months back i was doing a lot more. it was working for me but i'm just trying to cut losses as much as possible. the market i've done really well on recently is the 2.5 goals market pre off wise. i seem to be calling it right and predicting when it will crash.
with my team blackburn i've had some real fun this week! basically unders keep being priced to high for our games but the market keeps crashing before kickoff which has enabled me to get some great positions pre off. heres a few of them ![]() Soccer / Blackburn v Burnley : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 17-Mar-13 12:30 17-Mar-13 14:31 378.23 Soccer / Everton v Man City : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 16-Mar-13 12:45 16-Mar-13 14:38 163.23 Soccer / Blackburn v Millwall : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 13-Mar-13 19:30 13-Mar-13 21:22 184.56 Soccer / Millwall v Blackburn : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 10-Mar-13 14:00 10-Mar-13 15:54 191.60 Soccer / Liverpool v Tottenham : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 10-Mar-13 16:00 10-Mar-13 17:13 16.93 Soccer / Man Utd v Real Madrid : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 05-Mar-13 19:45 05-Mar-13 21:11 152.33 Soccer / Tottenham v Arsenal : Over/Under 2.5 Goals 03-Mar-13 16:00 03-Mar-13 17:09 192.79 |

yes thats right mate a lot of ups and downs. i didn't even know how to bet in play at the start of the season but i spoke to a few pros on here including posters of this thread who very kindly gave me a push in the right direction. now i know a bit more i'm happy to take more risks. its not uncoomon for me to be £500 to 1k down somedays which is hard work but i try and tell myself if i can make 2k a month then its got to be worth doing |

hopefully smithy - a £30 on the horses today and i'm hoping for a win on the san marino game this week
, it will probably end up 0-1 to england or something lol - i may centre myself around the 0-5 and work from there with a fair lay of Marino in the bargain any predictions yourself smithy ? |
By:
are you laying the big scores coach? i think we will struggle to break 4 tbh
By:
great stuff coach!hate the internationals week myself find it really boring lol. i might lay san marino myself for £10-£20 free money

I know, I mean I wouldnt back England against bloody Hastings at 1.01, must be more value to be had here

By:
hahahaaha cheers coach and no i play for a pub team. i did play for blackburn and accrington stanley at youth level but was quickly released
![]() i'm looking to lay san marino rather than back england. 0-0 sends shivers done my spine ![]() |
By:
thats a safe bet if I have ever seen one! But to make a little you need alot!- not an issue for you though
By:
yeah just for abit of fun mate i still struggle to follow england though. back when i was 18 i placed £400 at 1/4 on us to beat algeria at the world cup 2010. it was a lonely walk home from the pub and still leaves a bitter taste

haha I'm welsh (born there dont live there) so it always pleases me when England phuck up against countries that the commentators cannot even pronounce! such an amazing group of players but just never works out. Layed them at 9's in the Euros for a bit, but cant see a slip up against san marino...1.1 I would pile in, but 1.01 is just not worth it :P
By:
maybe england to score 2 or more...depends on the price, I'd guess at 1.16 ish
By:
why not back under 9 goals at 1.03 if you must back a shorty?
