Pistachio has generally been very polite to you, but I suspect he doesn't see the need to discuss his bets with you. As far as you're concerned, you should just accept that and give it up. It certainly doesn't give you the right to be vile towards him.

He answered the same question when put to him by Investor in 2009?? So what!   Perhaps he's changed his policy on answering questions after three years of BF Forum experience.   Or maybe, just maybe, he feels Investor has useful information of his own to impart to the forum, and believes that since Investor gives plenty back, he's deserving of a response from Pistachio?  You've heard of Give and Take?

Like most of us, Pistachio may well feel that you, Bob, offer absolutely nothing to the forum. You have absolutely no wisdom to impart. Your views, when given, are generally based on nothing at all. And you'd been persistently tedious for months to boot. I daresay Pistachio believed you not to be worth a proper response.

And, as long as he's not nasty about it (which he wasn't even slightly until you started getting on his back), then I don't see you have any right to be abusive to him. Nor do you have any right to demand an answer.  Just ignore him and he'll ignore you.  You're in the wrong here, so why not 'come in peace' for once and accept that Pistachio doesn't owe you anything and probably won't be interested in speaking to you in the future. His choice, just as you can ignore anyone here if you wish.

If that person was talking to their friends, and you butted in on the conversation, despite not really knowing the guy except in passing, and then demanded that he spoke to you, then it wouldn't be that rude of him. This forum is essentially a cafe where people are sitting speaking to their friends. Any of us can try and engage one of the people from another table in conversation. But if that person doesn't want to reply to us, that's up to them. 

If you think that anyone on here 'owes' you a response, then you have a particularly arrogant and unpleasant sense of entitlement.

It isn't spam bob, he's not trying to sell anything.  His posts are perfectly on-topic and most readers of the thread, me included, seem interested in his progress.

But that's part of the narrative Bob. Sometimes X is going through a good patch, and sometimes X is going through a bad one. People who bet (whether on horses or the financial markets) love seeing how everybody else is doing.  If you're not interested in that, that's up to you. In that case don't read the thread, or just ignore Pistachio's posts.      However, the thread is here primarily for people to post up their figures. Whether or not they want to elaborate on those is entirely up to them.
