My choice completely Bob. I couldn't live my lifestyle if I had a 'bird'. They like to worry about things like security, and 'where the money's coming from' and mortgages and families and soap operas and Christian Louboutins and soporific things like that. No woman would want to be relying on me, and I'm happy not to have the pressure.
I'm totally upfront about it though. You, on the other hand, claim to have a girlfriend who you're just not seeing much of because she's been away for the last few months 'concentrating on her exams'.. Believe me, if you really do have a woman and she's using that as an excuse, it'll be because she's actually away doing somebody else! My guess is you're just lying about it because you're embarrassed about being eternally single. Given your personality on here, it would be a miracle if you could find somebody to even last a pint with you. |

His pretend girlfriend must be a stunner. Bob at his pretend job all day, then trolling until 3am every single morning trying to make a friend. The pretend girlfriend never see's him.

Bob - i don't really have a 'style', i just tend to bet on something when i see an opportunity. Primarily i bet on football and tennis but as you saw from my last 3 months P/L i bet on a few things although most of those sports are not very often.
tennis will be anything from match odds, to set betting to game betting. football will vary from laying teams, backing goals if i see fit, trading unders, wherever i see an opening really. |

It's sad becuase it's true.
"Please reply to me pistashio, i'm so needy. I'm too scared to talk to a real person so this is the only interaction I get with others." Seriously though, take a look at yourself. You are wasting your life. Your parents must be so proud. |

fair enough. is value your number 1 priority? Yes you've been told this already. But not in the way that someone like tobermory or kenilworth will study odds and seek value, but having an eye for when something is good value in my head and knowing when to get involved in play. Example today, Murray v Ito game betting, market obviously doesn't rate Ito, but he's 40-0 up in a game, odds on Ito were 1.18, yes please. Now i don't need to be a mathmetician to know that it was good value. |
|
By:
How? She was heavily odds on but that doesn't mean that she was value...
|
|
By:
A lot of guffle is written about value, Value doesn't have to mean you've calculated exactly what the price should be - although that certainly can be a good approach. Taking 'value' can just mean you instinctively know the price on something is a bit silly. If you only bet when you have those strong feelings that a price is out of whack, then you should be able to make money.
And the more you watch of a sport, and the more times you think about whether a price is backable or not, the more reliable your 'feelings' will become. You have to know when those feelings are genuine, of course, and not be guided by whether you're losing or winning, or by a desire to 'make money' on that particular event. |
|
By:
If its another value bet to switch sides, do it. Or if you want to spend a bit of your value on locking in a profit that's ok, but worse in the long run

Bob, if you're trading (as opposed to betting pre-off) then you want to be placing a bet whenever you think there's likely to be a momentum shift. That may be once in a game, or it may be countless times. Tennis is very good for trading, since you can often sense a few points in advance when the leading player is starting to back off, or the trailing player is getting their act together. The market will generally suffer a big reaction when there's a break (or when a break is imminent), but it won't usually reflect the trailing player building up a head of steam that may well lead to a break.
And when it's possibly the deciding set, the market nearly always over-reacts to a player going a break up when they only need that set to secure victory. In WTA, in particular, being a break up is often nowhere near as significant as the market believes it to be. Those wild fluctuations near the ends of sets can be fantastic for trading. |
