The lad who used his entire £12k bank to lay Greece in the qtr's of the Euro's only to see them win in the Final

However my personal favourite was in the early years when one Saturday night. Betfair informed an individual that they were banning him from the Football Forum. Only for Betfair to realise that until he logged off. They could not stop him posting. He continued slagging off Betfair, well into Sunday.

Its great to see at the top of the OPs post the Famous Gretna will not win from Nocko (Owen Scott the William Hills Scottish non-league compiler). Of course it finished Gretna 8 Cowdenbeath 0.   My thread that netted a bloke from edinburgh over £100,000 always stands out for myself.

Remember something from Christmas 2003 when Michael Andrews & Gary Jules made the Christmas number 1 with their cover of Tears For Fears "Mad World". Basically Betfair had listed "Michael Andrews & Gary Jules" and "Gary Jules" as 2 separate entries on the Christmas number 1 market they had that year. Cue complaints from people who backed the "Gary Jules" option when they wouldn't pay out on it.

SlIghtly less well known, but there was a guy called RS1 who tried to lay something at 3s but got fat fingers and asked for 300 which he duly got. Went into a rare old panic and had a complete meltdown when he couldn't get out of the bet. Was teased mercilessly.

The day Helen Chamberlain was on here, got into a fight with some guys who were calling her all sorts about shagging James Wade and being a slapper and all that, and people were saying "prove you are Hells Bells" and then she turns up on Soccer AM the next morning and says something like "hello to all you boys on the betfair forum" Laugh

The guy who bet relatively small stakes normally who took out a 12k loan to lump it all on Barca (when they were at the height of their powers) in a league match at 1.12 as he thought it was an easy way to make a grand.

To be fair to him he was right and they won comfortably. I think he cashed out in the first half at 2-0 though as his ringpiece was quivering

The very first Spurs manager market - Santini and all that, and in the runners were two quite separate "B Robson's"

The thread about going round to someone's house in Huyton to share the cost of his Setanta matches!!! Real class!!!

But I don't remember at all Liverpool v AC Milan in Istanbul.

Don't believe it ever happened, tbh.

One of my favourites was Caloman's claim that he had backed Nick Watney in the golf at 140, when the highest price matched was about half that.

He got roasted for months but still wouldn't admit that he lied. He even tried to claim that 'I backed it at the purple place'!

Footsoldiers and his incredible can't lose system - got loads of other people's money from a syndicate and laid Rangers to win 3 - 0 away to Lyon in the Champions League. Easy money!!!!!!!!

You can guess the rest followed b court cases LaughLaughLaugh
