I don't want to give too much attention to the mentalists as they're ten a penny and come and go, but the lad with two forum names backing himself up having a go at someone, only to mess it up by using the wrong account was very funny. :^0

8. Bangladesh vs. Australia, Cardiff, June 18, 2005

It was cricket's version of David vs. Goliath. And not only did Bangladesh win, but they did it by chasing- something that is not too common in upset wins. The Aussies won the toss and got off to the worst possible start when Adam Gilchrist was out LBW on the second ball of the innings. Ponting and Hayden fell soon, and it was left to Damien Martyn and Michael Clarke to stabilize the innings. Simon Katich and Mike Hussey scored quickfire 30's to take Australia to 249/5. In reply, Bangladesh were in trouble at 72/3 in the 21st over, but a fine partnership between Mohammad Ashraful and Habibul Bashar saw the game gradually slip away from the hands of the Aussies. Ashraful scored a fine century, and when he eventually departed, Bangladesh was in the driver's seat. They won with four balls to spare. Another bad day for the online sports betting market, as nobody had predicted Bangladesh to get the better of the Aussies.

Many of these were before my time, I've been reading the forum since 2006 or so.

Some gems from last year and this year:
*Betfair skimming the markets (although maybe that counts as a skidmark, but it was a great thing that one of the forumites discovered it. Betfair of course hadn't said anything when they introduced the change, but had to address it after that).
*Elliott Short

is footsoldiers the guy that "invested" money on others' behalf after seeming clued up, but then the money all vanished because the person he had running "the system" went on tilt, making it all sound like he had legged everyone over?

a personal favourite was man city at spurs in the fa cup, three nought down (10 men) and coming back to win 4-3.
Oh the joy in my household(no i didn't back city or lay spurs) just seeing the faces of them spurs fans was enough for me.

The Odwyer Comprehensive Money Making Thread, was a highlight for me. Included the famous lay of Betis at 80 when 2-0 down to Barca 'collect without an element of doubt'

Betis won 3-2 :^0

Also, a personal fave of mine is Mu Mu's 'Haiti vs Suriname and it's LIIIIIVE' thread. Best in-play thread ever because it is what BF is all about - very funny but not at the expense of anyone else.

kq's breakdowns were legendary, he went from proclaiming he was great into a quivering wreck within 90 minutes throwing tantrums and stating if he couldn't win it was impossible for anyone to win. :)

The day that a "planned upgrade" was delayed for three hours, meaning that lots of people were left with horrendous books as it clashed with a brilliant climax to the ODI between India and Sri Lanka.

remember him saying he was leaving to play the guitar etc.

he did a great thread "£1000 for all of you by christmas" which predictably ended in disaster.

i can remember, a fair few years ago, when kq had a failsafe staking plan he'd devised himself, after 3 losing bets he piled the lot on Liverpool in a late saturday kick off that went, predictably, astray and he had a full 24 hour meltdown even accusing teams of knowing when he's wagered money on them :)

i remember that one

didn't liverpool score in dying seconds only for to be flagged offside??
