The plague of FCG systems
The old interface
The time someone hacked into the site and put bets up at odds greater than 1000

The Carling Cup Final when the Money Saving Expert Forum were all laying the first goalscorers was the all time classic

And the time when Betfair missed 2-2 out of the correct score match and the game finished 2-2, think it was Bayern Munich v Frankfurt or someone.

efisio, occasionally someone asks why Betfair don't have that market in running. Always brings a smile to my face.

when it first became obvious that someone was using bots to submit bets to the market (mid-2002) and clean up the overrounds (esp on horses). existence of such automatons was denied by management.

when the market %s were first displayed on screen so everyone could see them (late 2002)

flutter going t1ts up in a nice way
sporting options going mant1ts up in a less pleasing fashion

moneysavingexperts taking on the market

thieves stripping the poker site of all its cash because of a programming loophole

betfair making a never-repeated ex-gratia payment during 2003 when the site was perpetually crashing

DNS attack during the Grand National 2002

betfair sp meltdown during the Grand National 2008 (I think)

CL game Inter vs some Russian team where Sky had the wrong score displayed (didn't realise that Inter's third was disallowed)

golfing thing where somebody saw the market leader take 30 shots on a hole (according to a scoreboard) and promptly laid and did his load in (though I think that may have been an attempted scam)

tennis match where the scoreboard had the players the wrong way round

bus -

they were dutching lays on the whole field. They were then recycling their green on the field until the had laid everyone in the field for astronomical amounts. They realised that all the non starters were void and they were left with huge books when Walcott scored the first goal, think the last price matched was 38.0, and he started up front!!!!

The thread starter ended up with an account of £-12k.
