A thriller on paper . There have been big price winners in the past like Generous and Milk It Mick . I am not sure that all are classically engaged but the bottom two are so none is without a chance . 2lb per length .
Oxagon split two Longchamp winners last time but , according to my figures , they only improved by 1lb and 2lb . The figure for Gewan comes from The Acomb .
EDIT : It is worth noting Pacific Avenue at the price . Twice he has looked like he did not get home . Against Bow Echo the race was at 8f and in The Solario there was give underfoot . Today we are 7f on good to firm and some believe that he is there to make the pace . At 80/1 I am in for the price of a takeaway . It is iffy but can you see value in any other runner ?

One for the notebook Blue Jewel (IRE) . A Frankel out of a Dark Angel mare .
Re Longchamp , the clues are there to say that the going was not as stated . Asfoora wins , Givellotto runs well , Kalpana runs badly and so does Alohi Alii . It rode fast and Graeme North was the only "expert " to suggest that that might be the case .
As a final word , I have just heard a prize Jeremy say that Kalpana is not " the horse " she was when she ran so well against Calandagan .
Everybody seems to forget that that race was marred by the eccentric tactics employed by the Ballydoyle duo .
