Russ and Kirk with another double shift. |

What a total non-event this is. Cross been horrific.

What a strange game

|

Cross didn't play well enough overall - left his best darts in the Gurney game

Merv on his way to getting whitewashed by Wade who's averaging 85

By:
^averaging 88 but still filth

"Would be typical Wade to make the semis playing like a drain"
Nice 86.88 average there ![]() |
|
By:
Fair play to him. He definitely makes the most of his ability
|
|
By:
He had used to score better than that, though, didn't he?
|
|
By:
Yeah he's better than that average. I'm sure he's done that before without me having any specific memories. He's always been very strong mentally, save for his out of character collapse to Lewis in the semis a few years ago

Snakebite in trouble. 6/29 on doubles

Another absolute belter of a match. Well done, Callan. Brilliant effort.

Wright, under pressure, was forced to play very well

Great performance by Smith. Top class
|
|
By:
He deserves to make the semi-final - played superbly throughout this event and beating both Welsh Wizards. He's got a woeful record against Wade but it seems unthinkable that Wade could live with him on this form
|
|
By:
anyone catch the lowest inplay traded on Price? cheers
|
|
By:
I might be wrong, but I don't *think* it was below 1.1, Wise.

|
By:
I was expecting around 1.12 when he had the match darts

Semi finals
Mike Smith v James Wade Gary Anderson v Pete Wright So, who is writing Wade off against Choker Smith as a no hoper and backing it up with their monthly mortgage / rent / dole check? Anyone? It's easy saying I told you so, well put your money down if he's so unbeatable. Best price is a juicy 2/5. That's 40% Guaranteed profit. That b@stard Mardle changes his mine more than weather. I must add with all the guff I read last night on this social media thing I was amazed Smith wasn't 1/100 to win. There is only 1 cert tonight - Unless....Smith's arm falls off.....he will have most 180's v Wade. I'm on triple mortgage / rent @ 2/15.....now 1/12 Good luck all you Smith backers. P.S. Patiently waiting on P@ddy Power to post the odds in which set Smith first chokes. And to those shouting about averages....That pr@t M@rdle again with his back tracking.... Averages are only a guide as Wade continues to make a mockery of it all. This is where we're at. Wade is still in 2nd gear. Says he's been nervous but mentally had it easy so far. Smith however has had 2 gruelers against 2 of the best in the world. He has been challenged both mentally and physically and came though both times. One player is performing at the top of his game - The other is James Wade. A fascinating match up. P.P.S. This "all about timing" thing was started by the legend that is 3 times World Champion John Part. The Goblin Gerwyn then picked up on it and uses it as much as he says the crowd were phenomenal in every interview. M@rdle shamelessly uses other people's strap lines, though I do like him in the comms with Part as he will simply bow to the great man's knowledge and use of the English language. My fav bit is him repeatedly saying "yes" "yes" "yes" to the smart Part. There is also a 2nd semi final... smash the bookies...Good luck all. |

Wade only has 3 gears ffs

If you back Smith at 1.38 you have to firmly believe he's on a huge upward curve as opposed to Wade not being the player he quite was........
Last 10 meeting between the two = 8 Wade 1 Smith 1 Tie , if you read anything in the head to heads. He'll have to hit the same lofty heights for 3 matches on the bounce after the huge wins vs Jonny & Gerwen and that against an arguably fresher player that he's only beaten once in last 10 matches. Good luck with your plays. |

The last time Wade averaged over 95 in the WC was 5 years ago. Astonishing really considering he's been top 10 in the world throughout that time
|
|
By:
Good timing CB.
Current odds on Betfair for those who also love betting Averages: Wade - Under/Over 94.5 Average @ Evs Smith Under/Over 98.5 Average @ Evs Sportsbook run an 83% book: Wade U/O 93.5 @ 5/6 Smith U/O 97.5 @ 5/6 |

Plenty of if's in this match to give it a swerve.
A classic Wade performance would be to drag Smith down. Gun to my head, Wade Under 94.5 @ Evs compared to backing Overs at 5/6 In true Hibee style...No Bet |

I'm still to find anything in the all Scottish semi.

By:
Wade is 3.7 on bf but how short will he trade in running?
AND... Wright 1.54 v Anderson 2.8 Which set, if any, will they flip flop in running? I'm off for a walk along the seafront to clear my scrambled head. |
|
By:
Happy to have a small lay of Smith 1.34. Smith is box office to watch but will he continue to hit the doubles.
![]() Anderson also looks a fair price @ 2.82 |

Money flooding in on Smith. Has he won the bull?
I'm equally excited as I am intrigued how this plays out. Good luck all. Gonna be a cracker. |
