looking forward to tomorrows stage already

cant believe Froome wasn't favourite for the time trial
By:
so if it wasn't for the debacle on stage 15 Froome would be leading the race by 1:22 with two stages remaining
By:
He should have followed Quintana , to let the race leader go was a very poor decision however early it was , the wherabouts of his teammates was irrelevant.

He was caught behind a crash.

Stage 20
The GC placings including the podium look set in stone. I don't expect any changes. No doubt Sky will try to do something so I doubt the break will make it. If they forget about the overall win and just concentrate on winning the stage, Froome could get his 3rd stage win of the race and take the green points jersey off Valverde/Quintana and Movistar. If Froome wins the stage Valverde would need to finish 2nd to keep the points jersey. If Quintana finishes in the top 5 and infront of Froome and Valverde he will win the points jersey. |

looks like another replay same ****

what a mistake to think this wasn't one for the breakaway

Can Froome do it?
He's given himself a +2min buffer to 3rd place with his dominant TT yesterday. With 2nd place assured he can throw some caution to the wind imo. |
By:
must be confident if they aren't even worried about the bonus seconds he could get from a stage win
By:
Caught behind a crash .......that is why you stay near the front , clearly Contador & Quintana did.
SKY are way out of their comfort zone . usually controlling the peleton , and I expect very little to happen from them today, not a cat in hells chance of dislodging Quintana and his teammates. |
By:
Crashes happen. Sometimes you get caught behind them, he was actually in the front group with Quintana and Contador at one stage but the rider in front of him crashed and opened the gap. It wouldn't of mattered if his teammates were there to do the job they're paid to do.
By:
I think Sky realise that's it. Tried to distance him early but couldn't. If they really believed they would go for the bonus seconds. Most people realised that this was a 99.9% done deal after stage 15 tbf.
By:
One of the main reasons Movistar and Tinkov pushed so hard in the break on stage 15 was because they knew Froome's teammates were further behind in the 3rd group and Froome was isolated. I cant see how you think having no teammates with him was irrelevant. imo it was the biggest deciding factor in the race.
By:
tbh the race has been a non-event since stage 15. Cant blame Quintana for taking his chance when he did though, because he wouldn't have won the race otherwise.

Tour of Britain should push for grand tour status. Replace the Vuelta or maybe alternate yearly.

Orica-Bike Exchange have really animated this race. chapeau

So far I couldn't recognize what SKY's plan is, contrary to Chavez Froome doesn't even give it a try. What is Lopez doing in the 2nd escape group?

really good from Chavez, I didn't think he could leapfrog over Contador from 1:20 down on that stage.
here's a little recap of stage 20 courtesy of OricaBikeExchange. Certainly worth the watch if you've got the time. Their videos are well done, I try to watch a few during the grand tours, especially after they've won a stage or done well.
