Duckett is six runs shy of England having FIVE of the top six batters in the series.
Anything but a draw and stuff (including our own mistakes) has really conspired against us to come out on the wrong side of it... |

Gosh, better watch p's and q's if family are watching
![]() |
By:
he's harmless...but is rather more familiar than me with financial markets and real world trading..
By:
great mini session for the worthless sloggers...could do with the sun coming back out though
By:
Wondering how low the draw's gonna go if we keep flying...
Might need to get those reliable radar's out soon ![]() |
By:
WinViz says it's an easy lay...
By:
Have we seen who's padded up for no.3?
I'd go Woakes. |
By:
don't mind the radars and satellites..
it's the mug forecasters that get on yer bits ![]() some rain in the met and bbc forecasts on all 3 days but seemingly of the hit and miss showery variety... |
By:
Stokes was padded up earlier apparently...
By:
Right, he'd be my second choice.
Basically, anything that rhymes with oaks and I'm good. |

wow..slips barely interested...

Stokes looks a good fit at three. Sound defence to build on. Hope he his still in after lunch, will be good to watch.

Ten minutes and ten runs and Australia price back where it was before they took a wicket
By:
England approaching a free lay (if they're not there already @ 1.65)

(obviously, not to hold forever

Can't go a lot lower than this for a good old while

Very close to LBW there

Aus might not like to see this HawkEye

Good afternoon people, a good session for England so far.
You'd have to think an Aussie win is getting more unlikely by the minute. Even @ 5.3 now that's too short. I'm not tinkering around as things stand, so I'll just enjoy the day now with the cricket and some top notch racing in store especially @ Ascot. I'm just favouring Dettori on Emily Upjohn in the King George. |

By:
Crawley is lovely to watch in this form, his timing makes it look so easy.
By:
GL with the racing, slippy...
By:
Yup, glgl fella.
I'm a once-a-year, Grand National sort. A confident Crawley ![]() |

Thanks gents.

Phenomenal batting. No great surprise, either.
By:
slow over rate probably precludes a dec (not to mention still some bowled out possibility) but on target to be 450 before the close on run rate...
By:
make that 500....
By:
get on with it Harry...ffs...

Terrible Labuschagne impression.
By:
should be dropped for flagrant disregard to the format ....though he's redeemed himself by knicking off trying to defend....
By:
Yup, that's a proper dismissal.
By:
Don't get me started on Root
![]() |
By:
Root is such a good player I would actually like to see him reign back just a fraction....for a lot of these players I think if they played more conservatively they'd have less success..and the next gen best players are going to be largely in this mould...so we certainly best get used to it... I know you already have apt'...just musing...
By:
I think this is his reined in
![]() |
By:
quite possibly
![]() |
By:
He's pure class, probably the best I've seen for England.
But he's not my favourite... (Enters left)...Graeme Hick ![]() ![]() |

Your

Your under 2 runs per over is my Hick

and just to re-iterate a point I've made before when being tedious...the idea it only works on flatter surfaces is nonsense...it's arguably at it's most dangerous in low scoring games when a 30+ cameo is gold dust...
first to admit in it's early throws I thought it was nonsense but probably been quicker than most (inc media) to adjust the view... |
By:
Yes, yes, yes!
100% at its strongest on tricky pitches/low scorers where runs have added premium. I was BAFFLED by the insistence of England for flat decks in the first two matches. Their biggest flawed thinking this series, for me. |
