Groundstaff know whats coming tomorrow morning, if they have not made plans to cover vulnerable areas, in fact all areas then that is a poor poor show.

Anyone got the stats on umpires calls on lbw for the tests this summer.

Must be hugely in favour of England in both series.

Guess this is why neutral umpires were brought in.

Now we have the cream of Pakistan batsmen at the crease. Let battle commence - weather/light permitting.

Fred could you kindly explain your "thinking" that the independent/neutral/unbiased reviews are biased (you apparently allege)?

No Fred. There were some really seriously dodgy umpires in Pakistan and even Australia. Javed Miandad was never given out until neutral umpires were used in the World Cup in Pakistan. I have seen some you tube footage of dodgy Australians.

How anyone can question the current umpires is beyond me. I think they have done a great job all summer.

Not LBW specifically, but Athers did some analysis on the accuracy of decisions that were reviewed this summer at lunchtime today.

Gough has only had 2 reviewed decisions overturned (was 92% at that stage).  Kettleborough something like 78% and Illingworth 65%ish.

Its ridiculous we're having to bowl the part time spinners ffs, just stick the floodlights on get the pink ball out and get on with it

Utterly mind boggling, they can shut down the whole world over the flu in a flash, but they can't bring a pink ball out for a test match
