what a test match
By:
Without Stokes and Anderson we'd be up s*** creek without a canoe never mind a paddle
By:
I don't care what others say. I reckon Stokes is quite handy.
By:
Well done Stokes from all the England Staunch men who did not flinch and are laughing all the way to the bank!
By:
One of Englands best performances for a long while
By:
Stokes is a winner, incredible attitude and application.
By:
I'd have laid England at tea but I haven't a pot to p*** in so there's that

Kwality Test Match and weird but brilliant pitch!
5 DAYS! |
By:
Stokes ain't by any means the most lethal bowler but what he has in spades is a winner's DNA..smth u can't buy or train for..top man..some frigging sharp catching this test..fair play..great session after tea..Eng came thru..SA blew it
By:
At last an away win,1st one for quite a while
By:
Stokes should be captain
Root gets away with it whenever Stokes/Anderson/Broad drags the rest of the team through the winners gate Make Stokes captain already ffs |
By:
Don't need Stokes to be captain for him to lift the team

Tom you might like to know Sibleys hundred was the first from an English opener at Cape Town since 1910 by the truly Great Sir Jack Hobbs! He would make the Essex all time 1st XL ahead of Sir Alastair Cook even though he did not play for them!
By:
By:
But he's better tactically than Root as well
I gurentee he'd have us number 1 if he was captain, not just the tactical nous but he'd get them riled up from the beginning Headbutting walls before heading out, they'd be fired up from the get go |
By:
great game and stokes proves yet again that you need men like him to step up to the plate at the most crucial moments ... he has that will to win which in indefinable ...
By:
Stokes is an excellent bowler. Does the hard yards Broad does not do when it is flat and lifeless!
By:
Not one South African wicket bowled in either innings
By:
Sibley the best, better than all the rest !
By:
Stokes is best away from all of the media activities that come with being captain, let him do his stuff without that burden.
By:
Plus I've noticed with Stokes he backs up his lads if anyone messes with them, defends them
Stokes would handle the media well enough in my opinion, angoose |
By:
Stokes as captain is understandable but not required, he is a leader without the badge.
Well played England.. QDK U MUG ![]() |

By:
Roy Keane at Man Ure
No one facked with them did they? |
By:
I think his batting yesterday again selfless gave England the runs, time and overs needed to complete this win!
By:
Should be booing big vern for costing em the match not cheering him!
By:
Amazing just the one LBW wicket the whole match
By:
Pollock so easy on QdeK..instead of..WTF were u thinking u little,shortarsed pr1ck?
By:
By:
Some excel at it
But yes you could be right, its a risk |
By:
Wonderful final session. Stokes is an incredible cricketer. He performs when he's most needed. 6 catches, 3 last session wickets and 100+ runs.
SA were heroic in batting 138 overs. All to play for. |

Credit to elisjohn whom I laughed at when he suggested backing the draw in the 70s.

I had withdrawn all my funds on day 2 of the test. Taking a break. My profits for the last 16 months read -40 Euros(at one point I was up +4k in June). The lack of discipline getting the better of me. On day 2 I got a 500 red on the aus game and tilted and the first thing I did was withdraw the funds.
I have also launched my own agency so should get pretty busy in a week's time. Maybe i'll be back in April. Have fun and long live the KING ![]() |
