I would love 4 day tests purely from the betting perspective. 5 day tests will die sooner or later. People will complain but get over it.

That is a temporary arrangement johnny. Smith is only their for 3 months. They just did all that so they didn't lose the sponsorshp

Gone are the days when cricketers were tough . In he old days I seldom remember any players wandering on and off the pitch and then coming back to bowl . Fair enough if it is a comfort break , but no one seems to be aware of why players are off the pitch . Surely the paying public are entitled to some information in this regard ?

Some draw backers must be sitting on a nice book . I thought 34 was a good price when SA started out their 2nd innings , but I see some were punting at 70 plus . Looking good now , wicket doing nothing ( the bowlers also look like they have run out of steam ).

Actually I don't know what happens to Bouch and Kallis. But Smith was just appointed for 3 months.
CSA has been going in loss for ages now, thanks to corruption. Last month they lost it and stopped 5 journalists from covering a game. The journos bought normal tickets and went in and were allowed into the media box anyways. The week after, the sponsors threatened CSA they would withdraw their support(wtf are they making anyways?). There was a high level meeting between management and sponsors. CEO was fired but people say the whole structure that facilitates the corruption is still there. Boucher is now the boss of a black coach who was trained to be a coach and was next in line apparently. Even if Bouch was a long term coach, he isn't going to last long with that kind of an appointment in south africa. kallis is just a friend bouch called up to be around. |
