ffs another start!
By:
All out for less than 300 here as we all know the tail collapses
By:
Think i will revise that now after the 7th wicket as we might not even make 250 now and on this wicket
![]() |
By:
i can only surmise with the continuing strength of the Eng price(despite the regular falling of wkts) that 150 in the 1st inns would seem to almost guarantee a victory
guess i'll have to re-programme my cricketing brain |

what a shower these c*nts are

They are in the sh1t now for sure

Saffer bowlers are better than ours

Big Vern too good. He should carry on but only play tests outside Asia.

Yet another shambolic batting performance and yet another collapse they really are a shambles and this new test championship as it moves forward will show were they really belong which is near the bottom of the pile about on a good day par with the Windies and Pakistan and below India,Aussies,S Africa,N Zealand,i think we are only better than Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at the moment.
By:
Why are Eng so short at 2.78 at 234 for 9? Surely they needed 400 plus at the min.
By:
Root should've deferred
By:
saffers to get close to 400 ... and then it will be game over ... a harsh introduction for Silverwood who may not last out our Summer if this dross continues ... abysmal stuff really
By:
I do not know who would make a good captain but its certainly not Joe Root,he's had enough test matches now and although a lot of it is to do with poor batting line ups he is not up to the job in my opinion.
By:
every time i see the little c*nt being interviewed and coming out with the same deluded platitudes i just want to smash his face in
By:
engerland taking another kicking I see
By:
fair play to Pope
By:
40 runs for last 5 wickets pathetic
By:
Reprieve
By:
root should have been relieved of the captaincy ages ago. secretly he must be begging to be put out of his misery. early days for silverwood but not done anything so far to show he isn't completely out of his depth. culture of the test side remains terrible making all the same amateur mistakes on and off the field time and time again. we are a very poor side. south africa aren't any good either
By:
I think the difference is SA are understanding test cricket. Nortje has been a revelation. Fast and accurate. Uses the short ball selectively. He had Root on toast.
Big Vern bowls 3rd and 4th stump. It's like dangling bait into a fish tank. England are weak minded. They don't play for their off stump. Pleased for Pope. |
By:
*4th and fifth stump.
By:
If only one of our batsmen could have stayed on that pitch as long as that bird was on the outfield
By:
Root must have photos tucked away
![]() Without doubt the most incompetent captain we've had, these players are not as bad as the performances they are putting in ![]() As for Silverwood just get rid and bring in someone who knows what they're doing ffs Sadly this s*** is going to go on throughout our summer as well, were we'll probably win a series and think "we've turned a corner" ![]() ![]() |
By:
As I have said previously, Root will be gone after this SA drubbing !!
By:
Hard odds to judge for me right now. What do we expect SA to get maybe 270-300. If so then I'd fancy England. Currently I've backed SA at 2.78 and laid at 1.92 so not worried but I've got the urge to go in on England.
By:
At your age Charles i'm surprised you get any urges at all............
![]() |
By:
English Test batsmen are very average, six batsmen have got over 25 and when you hit 25 your in and should be set for a big innings, now I'm not saying your going to get a big innings every time, but 20's 30's and 40's do no not win Test Matches. 100's and 150's do win matches and its the 1st innings runs that really do count.
By:
something like 2 scores over 400 in the last 2 years says it all. obviously scores are generally getting lower with lack of patience in batsmen but look at labaschagne scored a bucket load of runs for glamorgan before getting a go for oz. comfortably 2nd best bat after smith and now a 100 pretty much every test this winter. it can still be done if you're prepared to concentrate and play properly
By:
Which teams do Eng play next year at home? Aren't they due their usual 3 test series with the windies and one with SL as well? A couple of those and english cricket will be back on track. No need to panic. Because nothing's changing for now.
By:
Next series' for our heroes are:
2 tests only in Sri Lanka in March 3 tests only against WI in June 3 ODIs + T20s against Aus in July 3 tests and 3 T20s against Pak in August Then, if they're lucky, they might get their first win in 3 ODIs against Ireland ![]() ![]() Then 3 ODIs and 3 T20s in India before the T20 World Cup. 2021 starts off with a bang - 5 tests in India ![]() |

By:
Apart from the sheer greed of the e+WCB and the BCCI, I don't see why on the earth the english deserve another 5 test series.
By:
They're playing 15 tests against India and Aus in 2021
Only saving grace is the guaranteed week off for the WTC final![]() |
By:
Bowled out.
By:
So 2021 starts off with with a 4 or 5-0 pasting in India so we better make sure we get some wins this year against other 2nd tier test sides
