Victor has just been doing a Caribbean accent in the TMS commentary box.

It was hilariously awful. I am sure there will be complaints but it was funny only because it was so bad although the image of Carlisle Best talking to his bat was amusing.

I don't see the point in having Archer in the team if he isn't fit, which seems to be the case.  When he is fit and bowling fast, he is almost unplayable.  At the moment, for whatever reason, he isn't bowling fast and he hasn't yet got the experience to bowl any other way.

Smith htting the new ball off the stumps through square leg.

Do we have a square leg, a leg slip or gully? a short mid wicket?

NO

We are giving him free runs. This is shocking. Root is not my choice as Captain!

Be funny if it gets rained off and ends in a draw

Then Smith scores 2 half centuries in the final test but we win

Then his efforts would have been for fack all, that'll wipe the smug little grin off his face

Aussies win this game and they retain the Ashes. I wonder if they might fancy it and declare later tonight?  No chance. Ground and pound. How many overs will England have to bat to save the game? How many overs will be lost tonight?

England will have to make Aussie bat again but also need to get close enough to not allow them to go cavalier in their second innings.

Ponting says they will bat out. Obviously. Fair enough. Interesting to see if Lyon can do anything. We are fooked!

Even if we bat 200 overs!

By:

I guess 150 overs could be 2 days cricket. England must bat a minimum of 150 scoring say 450. Well aus are not far off 450 already!  England will be batting last!

Not looking good. Roy of the Rovers time. Big fat fast double hundredLaughLaugh or at least bat 20 overs to aid the cause!
