@ Terry - Yeah I've wondered about the Beeb's attitude to his history.
I can't see them being as forgiving as a jury when choosing who to offer up for a public vote. In a field of six they'll only want one from each sport. I reckon they'd be obliged to nom Stokes if we lost the Ashes cos of the World Cup but a win gives them the option to choose a less tainted hero. And that is my theowy wot it is (that it is). |

I'm not questioning how forgiving the public might be, just whether the Beeb will allow it to happen.
I think they would have prefered if a woman or two were serious contenders this year as it's been a while and we know how they love to Gerrymander. |
